Vinegrasp Warden preview

Alongside the other work I've been doing, I commissioned some art for the Warden, my Daggerheart-compatible class using the Sage & Valor domains. There will be two subclasses for the Warden, and today I'm sharing the art and rough cards for one of them.

The final layout on the cards may be different, this version is just using the Card Creator at the Daggerheart website.

Art by Haclif.

Yeah, I'm hoping to provide options to satisfy different kinds of approaches to being a tank/protector character, not just in terms of domains but these subclass themes. :)

The art is great. The fiction of the vines taking the sword and swinging it is on the silly side (since you’re using the weapon at range), but the battlefield control mechanics are pretty awesome. I had a shadow sorcerer homebrew idea for 5e that played with the same techniques, so Im all for it. Something new for the tactical minded players.

Right? I like it as a capstone to loosen the reins that come with the Take Root class feature.

Mobile Roots sounds pretty powerful!
