From what I understand, in the source material, the movie was actually written first- and I don’t think it spoils too much to say that the movie also takes place before the events of season 1- but you’re watching it after these particular episodes because it takes place after what happened here (seeing Gojo as a student and Geto’s villain origin story as it were)
