2024-04-22 19:05:47 +0000 UTCI’m guessing with Monoma, the clocks are necessary- like maybe he doesn’t “feel” any differently or have some special consciousness of when he’s borrowed a quirk or whose and for how long- and in a battle, not only can a minute feel longer than it normally would, but a minute or two with or without an ability can make a huge difference to how you strategize and potentially affect the outcome

2024-04-20 22:03:28 +0000 UTCI forgot to comment about your question regarding Shinso and whether his power is inherently “evil” a few episodes back- I’m not really sure 100% where I stand, but I know you’ve seen at least one other character in another show with something kind of similar (though not exactly)- we haven’t seen it used in a while, and you probably don’t remember, but Ino in Naruto (blond girl who’s “frienemies” with Sakura) is able to move her consciousness into other people- and I can’t recall if she’s able to use their bodies in any way, but she at least immobilizes them and can see from their point of view- like she did it during the written portion of the first chunin exam to help her team cheat. I think I would lean toward treating Shinso’s power as a way of “restraining,” although there is also the point that people don’t remember what happens while they are brainwashed- like Shiozaki/vine girl in the first match waking up to find that she had been used to tie up her teammates with her vines- and back during the sports festival, he brainwashed his three teammates during the cavalry battle- and 2 of them declined to be advanced to the final tournament round because of having no memory of the cavalry match- Ojiro/tail guy and Shoda/twin impact guy of class B- and Aoyama/navel lazer was the other, but he didn’t stand up and opt out- not that he got very far, Mina/acid girl knocked him out in his first match lol. I’m digressing, but I want to say that as long as he’s not overstepping too much with taking advantage of people while he has them brainwashed, it’s probably fine as long as his intentions are good- though, you could argue that about a lot of these powerful heroes or heroes in training- they’d make for terrifying villains if they decided to step over to the “dark side”
