Just to add to your point people generally in Japan treat Christian and other Abrahamic iconography purely for aesthetic purposes because there aren't a lot of Christians in countries like Japan that worship them so you're unlikely to generate outrage in the same way as in western of middle eastern countries. Just like how we can make films and shows like Disney's Hercules, Marvel's Thor, Moon Knight which heavily utilizes Egyptian mythology, they aren't actively worship in the same vein as Christianity, Judaism, or Islam so you're unlikely to get the same amount of outrage for using mythological figures like Thor and Hercules in the same way if you'd use a figure like Christ.

2024-04-12 03:00:57 +0000 UTCI've recorded through episode 5 and computer time is at a premium (I don't get many opportunities to screen record) but what I'll do is what I do for some other shows. When I hit a part that I need translated I'll check out the scene in Japanese at the source. I just had to do this with MHA because I couldn't understand what a character was saying in English. I'll go back and look at the two rap scenes we've already gotten when I do episodes 3 and 4

2024-04-08 10:44:07 +0000 UTCI wanted you to watch the dub because I thought the rap songs would be translated into english, I didn't know they'd be in untranslated Japanese since I watched this subbed xD There's nothing too important in that rap song in episode 1 but there's more where that came from so it might be best to watch the rest of the series subbed ._.
