Yeah, I do like Kaguya and Miyuki a lot, but the other 2 are just so entertaining, and add a bit more craziness to the “battles”

I can emphasize with his paranoia so he's really funny to me. It's usually not good that the two secondary characters are more fun and more interesting than the protags but with this show it works somehow.

I'll bet Sophie reacts would be awesome at this series because she's the Ship Detective. She can sniff out a budding ship in about 3 seconds. Because you're right, all the context clues point to Shirogane and Chika not being interested in each other, but I was still reserving judgment.

Ishigami is my favorite character, with Chika being a close second. While I don’t share his paranoia, I guess I do relate more to an awkward and often misunderstood introvert than I do to the extroverted chaos agent. I think they took a while to introduce him maybe because they wanted to establish the 3-way dynamic firmly first, then add the extra element- plus, he was seeming to avoid/keep to himself, possibly mostly because of how he imagined Kaguya was targeting him, but also, he’s an uncertain introvert. I think Shirogane saying (or at least implying) that he considered him a friend explains us seeing him more from here on out, because he feels more included now (though Shinomiya still scares him lol).

One detail they don’t make obvious near the end of the “umbrella” vignette, but it had stopped raining, and they were still walking together underneath

I don’t think the Chika dance is canon, but it’s vague enough that I don’t think it would matter too much (people do keep secrets, not just about love/crushes). You’re doing pretty well with the names- Shirogane: She-row-gah-nay, Shinomiya: She-no-me-yuh, Fujiwara: Foo-jee-wah-ruh, and Ishigami: Ish-ee-gah-me (or just like origami with ish instead of or). I think we’ve seen enough to assume that there’s no romantic interest between Shirogane and Chika, that’s why their interactions seem so relaxed and to come easily (no pressure)- like in the earlier vignette where he got a cell phone, he and Chika immediately became Line (a form of social media) friends, while he and Shinomiya had a battle over who would ask first lol. I loved, and I think it might have been a meme for a while back when the episode first dropped, when Chika, after seeing Shirogane somewhat succeed in playing volleyball, got all teary eyed and proclaimed “I raised him!”
