Other drugs that would be commonly smoked are way too strong to take a hit as big as a bong chamber will hold. Crack and meth generally use glass pipes. PCP and, far less commonly, heroin are usually very thin joints, and a lot of times cut with something else. And more regional stuff like peyote and ayahuasca that aren't common in the US still have ceremonial/traditional connotations and I think are usually more open air.
