You know, regular network series with 20-24 episodes per season most definitely have "filler" episodes. The only difference is that network series filler episodes are considered canon even though they're often never referred to again. I guess its just all in how you look at it

2022-08-11 01:03:24 +0000 UTCjust starting to catch up a bit. to answer your Question about why start the anime before the Manga is finished: in many cases the Anime is basically a advertisment for the Manga :) and how do Filler that arent cannon work? they just put them in between arcs like a normal arc or there are really just 1 of special episodes like in One Piece there are Sometimes Holiday Specials or so where they put just one episode in there that has nothing to do with the normal world lets say they just make up a little story that doesnt matter basically. but like i did say somewhere already filler arent a problem if you catch up cause you can just skip them and nothing happens but if you watch it on a weekly release schedule they can be hell if you dont like it but if you compare it mostly filler are just in Long Running shows where they drop weekly episodes and there is no real Break for Years in between Seasons so you can see it as that pause where other series pause for a year there is a Year worth of filler to keep the TV Spot or keep the Anime Relevant dont know how it works.
