Lol I did kind of have the impression that you enjoy cliffhangers from some of your other reactions- real or fake, reactors getting upset over cliffhangers can be very entertaining

I'll let you in a secret. I don't do fake outrage ... except in this case. Being "angry" at cliffhangers is an homage to Dad who used to get genuinely angry at them so I started mocking him and pretending to be angry too. LOL So its an inside joke of sorts. I actually appreciate a show that can pull off a good cliffhanger and not cheat the next episode to resolve it.

Yeah yeah I remember Dad talking about that. He spent a lot of time in Japan. I'd forgotten about that. Makes a lot of sense.

I love Mustang- I haven’t watched many reactors to this show yet, but one was fuming angry hating Mustang after episode 17- I didn’t immediately guess that he didn’t do it, but knew something had to be up. I don’t think this show has too many cliffhangers that I recall, but if you hate them, just wait until you get to Attack on Titan lol

The reason that Alfonse refers to Ed as 'brother' instead of Ed is because it's the English translation of 'Ni-san' (に さん) from Japanese. In Japan, younger siblings usually use the specific title for older brothers or sisters, but it doesn't go the other way - it's a status/age thing. An older person has more status, even among siblings.
