I Was a Teenage Vampire is a narrative-driven adult visual novel, paying homage to the sex comedies, horror flicks, and dramas of the late '80s. Think The Lost Boys meets Fast Times at Ridgemont High, with a dash of Risky Business and a whole lot of VHS grit.

The story follows a group of misfits navigating their final weeks of class in the sleepy town of Silver Lake, 1989. You play as a broke teenager trying to scrape together enough cash for a car, juggling odd jobs, dodging bullies, chasing girls, and, oh yeah... unraveling a supernatural mystery that’s been lurking just beneath the surface of your hometown.

Strange dreams. Missing students. Blood on the pavement. The authorities claim there’s a serial killer on the loose, but the evidence doesn’t add up. As your visions grow more vivid, you start to suspect the truth is something far older… and far more dangerous. Something is feeding in Silver Lake, and it’s not done yet.

You’ll explore branching storylines, visit locations around town, and meet friends, rivals, and more than a few seductive strangers along the way.
