Mooncake Doodles

Some doodles of Mooncake, the cyborg bunny girl, for my Lily Military Academy project!

She's one of my very favorite characters I've ever come up with... a smattering of all the things I like in Alita and Ghost in the Shell squeezed through the lens of a young college girl trying to be the kinda gal she wants to be, which it turns out, is bits and pieces of metal that can run real fast!

She's a cyborg on the track and field team at Lily Military Academy. Lily Academy used to be quite the renowned liberal arts college, but in the past couple decades, especially as militarization of schools has ramped up, fallen from grace. It's attempt to shift over to a military academy have kept it from being eaten up entirely by the larger colleges around it, but it just barely hangs on. Things are only getting worse as a cold war with another school, The Lady Maria Military School for Girls, turns to a hot war.

Cyborgs represent the cutting edge of scholastic science, giving an edge to any school that can field one. Mooncake's advantage is overclocking old hardware well beyond their normal specs, though this often means she's in pieces by the end of a track meet. She can do anything, but only for about ten seconds and then she overheats and maybe explodes... meanwhile Mooncake gets to be the weird gross cyborg girl she's always dreamed of, for the low cost of a jaw dropping amount of student debt...but she represents the equivalent of a fighter jet or two, so dropping 40 or 50 million on her is a small price to pay!
