really excited for this one and actually looked into it more since i don't know much about it other than being tied up like an italian dried sausage lol.
apparently it was a torture practice in 17. century japan till a photographer made a photoseries about captured japanese princesses. then it was picked up in the 90ies again and has become an artform.
hmmm her ropes do look rather strange tho hmmm...
