With Elyssia I took a very commerce heavy approach, making use of her ease to lockdown settlements and keep a steady flow of income–especially if I could get Patronage and Industry going on a far-flung settlement–that allowed me to focus on a big hand of trickery cards and build up to powerful equipment. Then after quests it was either coasting to a prestige victory and policing anybody advancing on the King, or attack him myself if I felt my build would work.
