Cliff notes

Hey everybody. It’s Steve. This corona virus thing really sucks, doesn’t it? Seems bad. I’m not a fan. I’m at home with my wife Alissa, who’s the most amazing person in the world, my son Wally and our corgi Annie. I’m losing my mind a lot of the time but not all of it. So I guess I just wanted to list a few things that have been getting me through this.

Wally’s epic thighs (he’s 2.5 years) have slimmed down to where I’ve realized he fits into his bike seat again. He’s way more with it this spring so he is obsessed with zooming around with me for hours.

Yesterday I took my corgi Annie over to my neighbor Matt’s house to herd his sheep ( while keeping our distance of course, and actually even bathing her when we get back ) I mean, she rolls in their poop🤮. Corgis have a natural herding instinct and it’s really amazing to watch it click on, however his one sheep Juno, wasn’t having it. She kept charging her and it was hilarious.

Starting the creature club podcast has been a ton of fun. Just having an excuse for all of us to check in and joke around with each other has been such a recharge. I’ve also been calling all of my friends. I’m not a phone person at all but ended up talking with my old roommate Will Noon for 2 hours the other day. I just got off the phone with Steve Choi, whose lady is on the front lines as an ICU nurse. His positivity was reassuring. She’s hands on saving lives and then coming home to him. I would be freaking out. I AM freaking out. Fuck! Fuuuuuck! My friend Jon Van Dine actually tested positive for this shit. He was only able to get the test because he had asthma. I’m really glad he’s okay now. A good point Choi made was when this is all over everyone is going to be soo hungry for the energy of live music. It’s going to be intense. I can’t wait for that day.

Oh, and there’s also this bucket we fill with warm water that Wally sits in for 20 mins most days or so that gives us a much needed break from all of the destruction. It’s great. Give it a try if you have a toddler.
