The New Neighbors Chapter 50 (Finale)

It's a bit longer than the other chapters, being the finale and all, but obviously that doesn't excuse the long ass delay this one suffered. Obviously I can only apologize, but still, I can't apologize enough, and can only promise to do better in the future.
Like I said, I'll make this up to you guys, I promise. I will have a little standalone textless story posted in a few days, and will get started right away on the new comic after that. I'm gonna try to do 1 chapter a week for the first couple of chapters, so here's the timeline i'm gonna try to do:
Tomorrow: I'll put out another teaser for the new story, plus a longer post on my reflections on The New Neighbors.
7/23 (Wednesday): I'll put out the standalone story.
7/27 or 28th. (Sunday/Monday): I'll try to have out the first chapter of the new story.
8/02 (sunday): I'll put out the 2nd chapter.
Hopefully that's good enough of a promise for now to make up for the long delay and the lack of content for everyone.

2025-07-21 23:24:17 +0000 UTCI weighed in once but I think I'd like to weigh in again in light of the comments. I stand by the fact that the ending was good. It was a solid and intelligent ending to the story of the porn company. I didn't feel like it was too rushed or contrived. I think the yearning people are feeling is that it was a satisfying ending of one plotline in a series that had multiple plotlines. People wanted more Lily. People wanted to see his neglect, their lifestyle, and increasing drug use fuck with her and all of them more than it did in the end. People want an interlude that shows bad behavior, a Lily's perspective chapter, or an alternate ending. I can't speak for everyone but for me at least, that doesn't mean I want a **different** ending. I just want more of the thing that brings me to a place like Patreon comics instead of network television. However, that doesn't mean that I could **write** a dark ending like that. I've tried my hand at erotic fiction before and every single time I feel like I can't hack it because I can't do to the characters the thing that actually turns me on (corruption, etc.). Idk, it takes a toll, especially the thought of exposing that idea to other people. I think the author should be proud of their story, every part of it. I would hope that they take the numerous wishes for alternatives as a compliment, because nobody really invests themselves like that in a story they don't care about. There is a strong desire for content that puts Lily deeper into corruption and tricky situations. I hope we see that, either through PoV flashbacks, alternate endings, or a fully out of control Lily showing up in Belmona. People are invested and I hope that the author sees fit to take that into consideration for future projects, and if so, to let us know. It truly is a compliment to have people so invested.
