Marsh Ruins

This week's map is the Marsh Ruins (25x30), a new basic swamp map for fleshing out adventures through mires. Last week I mentioned how I was a bit underwhelmed with the quality of my old swamp maps, which are low in detail and tended to have uninteresting layouts, so I'm thinking I'll sprinkle in a few updated versions of those older maps over the next couple months.

This is a fresh version of the Swamp Temple Remnants, from 2021, which had a strange layout that looked impressive but not necessarily like a temple. This new map gets the vibe across much better, has more complex terrain, and has coloring and lighting that won't make you do a double-take. Overall, I find this to be a much more functional version of a map that I found ugly and clunky, which is what I'll be aiming to do with the next few as well. Hopefully you'll agree that this is a good use of my time, you're the people paying me to do it so if you feel like I'm wasting my time redoing old maps please let me know and I'll move on from this task a bit faster.
