(Quick back story: I had some issues with my right hand more than a year ago. I was feeling a bit of numbness and struggling to move my hand freely. I didn’t really know what was wrong with my hand. I was just hoping that it was nothing serious and I just needed to rest my hand. And was trying to avoid repetitive movements. In the UK it’s really hard to solve your non-life-threatening medical issues with the national health service, getting referrals to the specialist takes a long long time -especially during the pandemic. so I couldn’t really have any diagnosis. In end of Jan 2022 I went to my hometown Istanbul and finally had all the necessary tests. Long story short, I found out that I have a benign tumor on my right arm; which was essentially compressing against my nerve. Hence the numbness and struggle to move my hand freely. I had the first surgery. As a result of cleaning the mass, I lost around 80% mobility on my right-hand finger extension. That basically means you can't shake someone's hand, can't grab a glass properly, tie your shoes in 2 mins, etc. I had to have a second surgery, which happened today. It all went great. Now they will observe me for 3 months, then decide whether I will need a third and final surgery. )
