The Billing Pause Will Continue

Hello everyone,

I've been unpacking from the move, all while having to restructure my business completely while I prep The Real Will Wood for distribution, begin the edits on Slouching Towards Branson, ready my catalog for physical distro, worship at the iron temple, and prepare for this summer's 10-year anniversary tour. Trying to have a life while this is happening has left me very little time for my other priorities, such as preparing Patreon content.

I've begun that process though, so it looks like I'll be able to re-launch the Patreon come April. Fair warning, it might be pretty different. I've learned the hard way too many times via terrifying Patreon DMs, things I've heard about how the online fandom's belief that they know me personally has only intensified, and audiences behaving as though my shows are rare appearances from a twitch streamer they like to spam, etc. that I need to shift gears a bit in my approach to this platform. With the looming arrival of the air-conditioned reuptake-inhibited technofeudalistic post-historical metaverse, I'm not sure I can bring myself to be involved in a fandom scene even the very small amount I currently am. I plan on switching my focus to email lists and SMS promotion soon. So I may be less present here, the livestream Q&A's will go back to being videos of real-life Q&As from tour, and I doubt I'll be blogging as much.

Other changes will include updates to the tier prices (current members will continue to get the same prices though!) and what those tiers receive. Song videos, Q&A videos, sneak peeks at upcoming projects, early announcements, discount codes, those will all still be included. I think the sneak peeks will be sneakier and peekier than they've been in years though, so that's good. Stay tuned for more updates, I'll have the price and perk changes spelled out in more detail at the end of March with specifics once I've crunched all the crunchables.

Here's a sneaky peeky. Dates and locations soon. Do you like the name? It's a Will Wood reference, like from the Will Wood songs. I think ten years in is a good time for a sort of thematic reset. Not to get too MCU on ya, but it might be sort of time for PhAsE tWo y'know? So 2025 will be a sort of hello-goodbye-hello for me I think. Maybe the kids will think I'm retiring again with that name and 2015 vibe, that'll be funny. I'm insulting the gods with some of the theaters Livenation is putting me in. THEATER theaters. East coast we're doing rock concerts with worms, west I'm doing places with "center for fine arts" in their titles. Places with operas on the calendars next to Will Wood; a man with a penis for a name. I wonder if the theater environment will make people realize how badly they're humiliating themselves when they interrupt my punchlines to holler things their algorithm served them. If you come to a show, you have my permission to roundhouse their snakebites out. Phase Two Will is spicy. Go bite a fuck.
