One day before.
Kathryn was still busy at this evening to test her new height. Lifting heavy boxes, sprinting faster than anyone else, or just posing above everyone in the college. It must be a great feeling for her. It was just some hours ago since she took the potions that was planned to be mine. And because I haven't anything better to do than being an asshole to my best friend, Katy still hanged around the college's court, instead of our room where Fiona lured me into her trap. But you may ask what happened between my awakening in the vampire Cage and this moment? So let's take a look.
"Excuse me, Lady? Miss?", Fiona started a shy conversation.
"Hey, Fiona. What's up?", Kathryn states with a happy smile as the small apprentice approached her.
"I, I... hope you don't mind my little accident."
"What? Oh, no! I actually like it! Maybe I will stay like this. Fighting Vampire, as this, should be so easier. So I have to thank you, hehe!", Katy laughs friendly, looking down to Fiona.
"Oh, ah, that's fine. Good, I mean. I'm glad you like it. Maybe you, ah... could help me? There are some heavy boxes to be lift and... yeah, I thought because of your new inches and all..."
"Sure. I would be happy to test these new muscles. Lead the way!"
If Kathryn had just seen the glowing, smiling eyes under Fiona robe at this second. But the vampire tricked us all.
"So, Dwemer gyros, eh? Where should I put them?", Kathryn asked motivated after Fiona lead her to a small storage room up the stairs in one of the college's many towers. But only the clicking of an lock answered her.
Suspicious, the Huntress looked back, asking: "Fiona?" But the door was closed.
"Good night, Katy.", Fiona spoke silent to herself as she leaves the tower with a radiant smile. Because she had to bring some love letter to someone special.
"Fiona? Are you there? I think the door has fallen into the look? Fiona?!", Kathryn asked more loudly behind the heavy door, only able to her Fiona's steps leaving the place.
"Fiona? Where are you going?! HEY!", the ashblond yelled, before a noise behind her takes her attention. It was some clicking again, as one of the old dwemer mechanism opens itself up and releasing some sort of gas into the room. The hissing sound and the green clouds it makes as it emits into the room made it clear from the very first second: It was poison. Kathryn held her nose and mouth sealed as the stuff was flooding the room after some cursed: "Shit!", leaves her lips. The next thing was banging against the door, the only valuable escape route. First with her fist, then with the shoulder and after this with her hole body. But the heavy door doesn't move an inch. Desperate, Kathryn tried to escape, but nothing seems to could break this door. Until the huntress used her most powerful weapon. Her long legs. In a last attempt to survive, Katy smashed her leg with a powerful kick against the door, finally opening it. Gasping she escaped no moment too soon, before she looked not very amused to the horizon. There was still a small girl to give Katy some answers, why she tried to kill her.
But on the way down the tower, someone else was in need first.
"Hello?! Is someone there! Let me OUT!", Victoria's voices screamed behind one of the doors, while banging against it.
Without saying something, Kathryn opened the lock, and so the blond mage stumbled out of the room and right before the feet of her old student. With crossed arms, Kathryn looked down at Victoria with the words: "You have something to explain."
"First, you have to tell me where this useless apprentice of mine is!", the blond mage asked with an angry face.
"So, she locked you too. How are you?", the huntress explained coming down to help her friend.
"Wait, what... you too? Oohhh, no."
"What happened? And start from the beginning.", Kathryn states while helping Victoria on her feet again.
"Maybe... ahm, Fiona is a-", the busty started, before completed by the tall one.
"Vampire?"
"Wait, you... you know it?"
"I've got a feeling."
"I don't know it! Not until an hour ago or so! You have to trust me!"
"I know, I know. I'm not mad on you, Vic. Just explain what happened, please. Step by Step."
With a frustrated look and a heavy sigh, the mage started to explain herself:
"It is the growth potion, you know? Fiona is my apprentice for nearly a year now. I always got the feeling she was ignoring my guidance and the teaching. I thought she was a bit dull but... argh, but it was only because she already knows about all the magic schools and everything. Everything was just a masquerade for me. She just wanted to use our alchemy lab here to experiment.
The second you and Garet were showing up, it was the first time she was really interested. And I know why now. She is a bit... ahm, well, 'angry' because of her small height. It surly doesn't help that I mugged her because of this. Just a little, I swear!
Well, truth is, that the potion that enlarged you and my breast are her creations. Not mine. I just copied her recipe."
"Okay, this explains why she locked you up, but not why she was trying to kill me.", Kathryn asked.
"It's Garet. She wants him. That's the reason."
"What?"
"His blood is the main ingredient for the growth potion. Next to the green gruel that started his shrinking, of course. She probably thought the only way of getting him is by getting rid of you. Getting rid of the both of us. God, I'm so a stupid idiot...”
“Wait, Wait, Wait! Why you know all of this?”
“Because Fiona told me. An hour ago we were both down at the lab, mixing the new potions. I pointed out that the mix she was making was too heavy for Garet and would make him growth way too much. Then Fiona started angry about her small size, how I and everyone ignores her because of it. And how I stole her first attempt that made my boobs bigger. And that the new potion was for her, not me, you or Garet. She sounded very mad, to be honest. So I tried to get the potion. We were fighting, and while doing, so I saw her entire face for the first time. And her red eyes.
But she is a way more powerful mage than I thought. She just teleported me away, right into this locked chamber and... well, you know the rest. I'm sorry.”
“That's not good...”, Kathryn said thoughtful after Victoria's explanation.
“Oh, my god! Do you think she will kill Garet?!
“Probably not. As long as she needs his blood. But they will be gone by now, if she's really capably of teleporting. But I know where there are heading.”
“But, they can be everywhere!”
“No. They are at the cave with the green gruel.”
“Oh, of course! She needs it! But I'm coming with you!”
“You're not a hunter. Leave it to-”, Katy said, before interrupted by Victoria.
“I want to help! It's my fault after all. And... and Garet and me...”
“I know.”, the ashblond sighs before nodding slow: “Fine, you can come with me. But ready yourself. This ain't going to be easy.”
“Thank you, Kate. I will give my best, I promise.”
And so they both headed out for my rescue. Hopefully not too late.
