My Dad Is The Strongest?: Ch.27

The air rumbled as thunder boomed, a blue figure skating around the battle area like erratic electricity while the second figure in the centre stood and kept his gaze upon the humanoid lightning bolt.

Yuta's eyes were narrowed as he watched Killua dancing around him, the boy in question keeping up his rapid sidestepping before the battle continued as the boy stopped and shot forward.

His knife hand barely missed Yuta's neck as the teen spun around and blocked it, his Reverse Cursed Technique already dealing with the static electricity assaulting his body. Countering with his own palm strike, Killua blocked it while hopping backwards.

Yuta quickly rushed after him and lashed out with a high kick, the silver-haired boy leaning back from it before parrying the punch to his side. Grabbing onto Yuta's wrist and pulling him in, Killua blocked the knee from Yuta before hopping onto the teen's shoulder.

Raising his elbow, Killua grunted as he swung down over and over onto his head, but Yuta did his best to try and block the attacks while also trying to pull his arm free.

His assault did not last long as Killua leaned forward, ducking under the heavy fist from the spirit below before hopping off while kicking Yuta tot he side. A large hand caught the teen and helped him stand as Killua landed, narrowing his eyes at the copy of Rika that raised her tail and allowed Yuta to pull out a katana from her shadow.

Readying himself as he saw Yuta and Rika do the same, Killua grinned before he shot forward, immediately clapping his hands together to stop Yuta's slash. Pushing it to the side and letting go, Killua delivered a heavy strike to the side of the blade before blocking Rika's punch.

The force of it sent him skidding back, but he was quick to recover, grimacing when he saw Yuta rushing at him with a katnaa that was only slightly fractured.

'I hate that abundance of cursed energy he has,' Killua thought before the two opponents were on him, activating Speed of Lightning as the world slowed.

Several craters exploded into existence as the three fighters dashed across the battlefield, Killua's body a blur as he dodged around Yuta's barrage of slashes before hopping to the side to dodge Rika's hammer slam.

Hopping into the air with a rapid spin, Killua delivered a powerful heel kick to the spirit's side that sent it ragdolling across the ground. However, Yuta used that opportunity to attack and Killua gritted his teeth as Yuta's katana stabbed into his chest.

The victory did not last long as Killua heaved and dropkicked Yuta in the chest, sending the teen flying backwards while healing the wound that the katana left behind.

Landing with a stagger, Killua watched as Yuta rolled a few times before stumbling to his feet, Rika already floating beside the teen. Standing up as his wound snapped shut, Killua smirked as he saw Yuta holding a hand coated in Reversed Cursed Energy to his chest.

Curse Technique Reversal: Thunderbolt!”, Flicking his index fingers at the teen, twin bolts of potent lightning sliced through the air and impacted Rika, who had moved in front of Yuta to block the attack.

The boy in question quickly rushed to the side as the shikigami dispersed, Killua rapidly snapping his fingers and making the air rumble as electricity sparked around him.

Cursed Technique Reversal: Maximum Output- Thunder Palace!”, The air exploded as ten lightning bolts shot from each of Killua's fingers, Yuta quickly ducking under one before leaping over another.

Slicing his katana outwards to catch the third, Yuta quickly dropped the weapon as two more impacted it and completely destroyed it, doing a barrel-roll through the air to dodge another two.

However, his eyes widened as the final three curved through the air and around the electricity, Killua snapping his fingers and making all three explode with a deafening boom before he could escape.

Electricity rippled outwards as the area was caught in a cloud of dust, the silver-haired boy watching the dust settle before grimacing as he saw Yuta standing in the centre with Rika's arms roughly covering him.

The arms were the only things that he appeared to have manifested considering that Killua could see the burn wounds covering Yuta's legs and chest, but those didn't stay for long as the teen's Reverse Cursed Technique easily dealt with the wounds.

“Think you can keep going, Yuta?”, Killua asked and he chuckled as he heard Yuta snort when the teen lowered his arms, revealing him missing the skin on the lower left side of his jaw that he quickly regenerated.

“I can. Why? You getting tired of taking it easy?”

“I haven't been taking it easy.”

“You haven't even used your Maximum or your Domain.”

“I can think of someone else who hasn't been using their domain.”

“You know mine isn't as strong,” Yuta spoke with a huff as he dismissed his shikigami, Killua smirking at his words before looking to the side as a figure walked up to them.

“Two months and already, you two have refined your control over your techniques and cursed energy beyond what I was expecting.”

“But not what you were expecting, is it?”, Killua asked Miguel, who scoffed as the man crossed his arms and shook his head.

“No. You two were supposed to find more subtle uses for your techniques, but instead, you just went and made more extravagant ways instead.”

“Well, it's electricity. I can't make it quiet even if I want to.”

“And the condition for me copying any technique is to have them eat the body parts of the person whose technique I wish to copy so I don't think I can make it subtle.”

“Well, at least one can say that your cursed energy reinforcement and control over it has been refined tremendously, more so for Yuta than you, Killua.”

“I'll agree on that,” Killua had to admit that even he felt slightly surprised at Yuta's rate of growth, with their sparring sessions having gone from Killua slowly walking Yuta through it to the two of them now even with each other.

Killua knew that he would still be the faster of the two of them by far, but Yuta's ability to control his monstrous amounts of cursed energy and refine his body with it was something that Killua knew he would not be able to replicate one day.

'Yuta has the most cursed energy out of anyone I know and Dad can control his energy like it's nothing so I guess…I just have to be the fastest,' Killua thought with a smirk, thinking of just how much faster his Speed of Lightning was in this life compared to his last one.

Come to think of it, it has been a long while since he's thought of Gon and the others. In fact, he'd say that he's almost forgotten he's had friends from another life as his new life had just been far too chaotic in recent times.

'Did they win against the Chimera? Are they well? What about the family? Do they finally regret pushing me away? Oh, I hope they do.'

“What the hell are you so happy about?”, Killua blinked as he heard Miguel's voice, looking up to see the man and a smiling Yuta looking at him.

“What, I can't just be happy?”

“No. now, come on. Your training in the fort is complete so we need to get you guys to a shower and then hit the road.”

“For what?”, Killua asked as he cracked his back, following after the man who smirked as he turned and looked at the boy.

“Because we've finally found a lead on the remnants of the Black Rope.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So, the elder that made the rope is living up there?”, Killua asked as the three stood at the foot of Mt. Kenya, staring at the top of the mountain that they could see as well as the parts that was hidden behind clouds.

“That's right. The Great Elder is usually not one to move about, but according to the elders, he went up there to try and read the energies of the mountain.”

“…Why exactly?”

“Because that is how the Black Rope is forged. He reads and captures the energies of the mountain and the energies of the earth…and then he and the elders of the village make a cursed rope that rejects the songs that the world sings.”

“And how long does this process usually take him?”

“Around the span of two or three months and that's if he doesn't decide to go on a drinking spree.”

“…Well, I guess the mountain won't climb itself, then? Hehehe~”, Yuta spoke with an optimistic smile, which waned slightly as Killua and Miguel turned to him with flat stares before letting out sighs in unison.

“Let's just go get rope. The faster we do that, the faster you two can go back home and leave me in peace.”

“Yeah, yeah. You've come to enjoy our presence and you know it,” Killua spoke with a grin as he walked forward, a smiling Yuta following after him while Miguel watched them walk.

“…Ha! I didn't know you were a comedian as well as a subpar Special Grade!”

“Oh, those are fighting words there.”

“Can't we just keep climbing?”, Yuta asked, sighing as the two ignored him like usual while glaring at each other.

Yeah, this might take a bit longer than he was expecting.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“How exactly is this mountain hard to climb?!”, Killua asked as he launched himself upwards, grabbing onto the edge of a rock pointing out while looking down to see Miguel and Yuta doing the same.

“I wouldn't underestimate Mother Nature if I were you!”, Miguel shouted back as Yuta formed Rika's hands below him, the spirit quickly tossing him further upwards and dispersing before Yuta landed next to Killua.

“I'm not underestimating her! I'm simply saying! That it should not be this easy!”, Killua spoke, grunting midway as he and Yuta caught Miguel's hands before throwing the man further up and onto the plateau they were climbing towards.

Both Special Grade sorcerers then launched themselves upwards and Miguel caught their hands, pulling them up while looking out at the sea of clouds just a few meters below.

“Well, I'll admit it is a beautiful sight.”

“Yes, but we're not here to admire nature. Now, let's go. He should be over here,” Miguel spoke as he began walking towards the peak, Killua shaking his head with a smirk as he turned and followed the man to the figure standing in the middle of the plateau.

“Great Elder Mumuk, it is a pleasure to see you in good health,” Miguel began speaking, Killua and Yuta standing off to the side. The Gojo heir narrowed his eyes as the elderly man turned around and smiled.

“Ah, Chief Mutongoi. You've returned.”

“Yes, but unfortunately, I have shamed our family in losing the Black Rope.”

“You lost it or you used it in battle?”

“The latter.”

“Well, I suppose there is no shame in that. I suppose it must have been necessary to use it.”

“It was. I was fighting the head of the Gojo Clan.”

“…The head? I thought the head was Gintoki Gojo?”

“Only officially. My father runs everything from behind the scenes,” Killua chimed in, watching as the Great Elder turned to him with a raised eyebrow before turning his gaze back to Miguel.

“Killua Gojo, heir to the Clan.”

“The son of the Monster, then? That would explain your strength.”

“I thank you for the compliment and I'm sure my father would have done the same. He does love being referred to as a monster, a god or the devil itself.”

“I suppose the thoughts of the strong is something I will never be able to understand.”

“Great Elder, while I am glad to see you in good health, I came here-”

“Because you want to see if we have more Black Rope, yes?”, Mumuk said with a knowing look, Miguel nodding before the Elder chuckled and shook his head.

“Unfortunately, you are too late. The last of the rope was just given away.”

“To who?”

“My new master,” That sent warning bells off in Killua's head, the boy glancing to Yuta who looked wary as well as they saw Miguel frown.

“Your new master? Are you high off of khat again?”

“Oh, not in the slightest. You see, Mutongoi, I've always been the one who's had to sacrifice my lifespan in order to create the Black Rope and it was simply because of my technique.”

“And now you have a new master?”

“Yes, Master Kara was all but glad to take me on as her apprentice. She has shown me…so much more than I could have expected.”

'Well, what do we do now?', Killua thought as he stood still, watching Miguel stare at the man before he let out a chuckle and shook his head.

“So, what? You betrayed the clan for a bit of power?”, Miguel asked with a frown and the three were surprised as Mumuk let out a cackle, one that sounded more fitting on a mad man.

“Hihihihihihi~!! Ihihihihih~! Oh, no, Miguel! Not just a bit of power!,” Mumuk spoke as he reached into his skirt, the three immediately being on guard as the man took out a black sphere before devouring it whole.

A lot of power. Let my soul be stone, my blood be snow. Let memory melt and let silence grow. May my name be lost like those before me now. Ngai wa Kirinyaga, hear my vow!”, Killua couldn't understand what the man was chanting, but he didn't need to when he felt the sorcerer's cursed energy soar.

Quickly hopping backwards along with Miguel and Yuta, they watched as a two-toned laughter came from the lips of the elder. That was not all as frost gathered on the man's skin, which cracked open like glaciers to reveal ice blue blood dripping from the wounds.

His eyes turned a deep blue and as Elder Mumuk looked at them, Killua frowned as the man smiled and revealed his mouth now having taken the form of a vibrant blue eye.

Ah, how long has it been since I've been in a body made out of flesh?”, The three couldn't see from which point the spirit was talking, but it didn't matter to them as Rika formed behind Yuta while electricity sparked around Killua's body.

“Miguel. Plan?”, Killua asked as they watched the curse admire its body, slowly turning its gaze to them before Miguel nodded.

“Kill it without delay,” With that, Speed of Lightning activated and Killua surged forward, crossing the battlefield in the blink of an eye and delivering a vicious palm strike to the spirit's chest.

He could hear the snap of its ribs as the force of the attack sent it flying into the mountain, but his eyes widened when he felt nothing from his arm, looking down only to see nothing but dark shadows obscuring his arms from view.

Ooh~ I do love the memories that your arm has. It's quite invigorating.”

'This…this is like Shoot's ability,' Killua thought with a grimace as he looked at the vessel, trying and failing to call upon the cursed energy in his arm.

“Well, that's a weird technique, storing away the things that hit you.”

“What are you talking about, Killua?”, Yuta asked with a frown and Killua blinked while looking at him and Miguel.

“You see the shadows covering my right arm, right?”

“.. Is its technique to make you hallucinate? What right arm are you talking about”

That…isn't a bad guess, but you're wrong. I don't store anything. I simply made you forget you ever had it,” The spirit explained with a smile and Killua blinked as he looked at his arm only to see…nothing?

'Wait, I don't have a right ar-Wait, I…I don't have a right arm. What the hell am I talking about?'

Don't worry. Most who fight me forget who they were, but we'll fix that,” The spirit spoke with a smile, the three fighters readying themselves as it tilted its head and smiled.

Now then, who wants to go down the path of memory lane next?”

A/N: Yeah, sorry for the late upload. That's on me. I'm gonna be honest. I got off early and decided to watch a few episode of Squid Game. It was going to be like two or three episodes, but then I watched the whole thing. Gotta say, no regrets because the season was amazing.

Anyway, Killua is now missing an arm…or he never had the arm he's missing so was he actually missing an arm? Who knows? The forgetfulness is here~!!

As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…

Ba-Bye~!!
