The Monke King: Ch.35

'Cell's energy has increased drastically and then plummeted…and now it's steadily rising beyond his former limit…Oh, he's far surpassed my base level? Well, that's a good thing for our forces, at least,' I thought with a smile as I floated near the centre of the northern part of the continent, my ki senses stretched out around the world to help me keep track of every being on the planet.

Mother and Eradel are slowly but surely making progress as they've take care of Five, Six and Seven Star Dragons and both the Three and Four Star Dragons are also gone. I was almost going to fly over to Trunks when I felt his energy drop severely for a bit, but I'd let him continue onwards and was not disappointed when he won.

All that was left were the Two Star Dragon, who Mother and Eradal were flying to at a moderate pace, and the One Star Dragon that was slowly approaching me.

Syn Shenron that can become Omega Shenrom, known to be the strongest of the Shadow Dragons by any Dragon Ball fan that watched GT and is an absolute menace to deal with in the Xenoverse DLC.

'Nope, I'm not going to go off on a tangent on that one. Hah, all I have to do is make sure he doesn't get the dragon balls and it's over,' I thought with a deep breath and exhaled, starting my flight towards Syn who I felt doing the same.

Our pace was slow, but with every passing second, I sped up slightly and smiled as I felt Syn doing the same. It was not long before I caught sight of the dragon in the distance, his aura making the ground rumble as it clashed with mine before I narrowed my eyes at his chest.

'Last I checked, he was supposed to have the Majin Sigil on his chest and the One Star ball on his forehead, right? Why the hell am I looking at a Majin sigil on his forehead and six Dragon Balls in his chest?', I thought with a frown, staring at the One Star Dragon Ball in the centre of his chest with five other Dragon Balls that were surrounded it.

All that was missing were…the Two Star Dragon Ball…that Mother and Eradel were currently fighting against.

“Nope! Not happening!”, I growled as I took out Jingu Bang and expanded it to his size, throwing it and my gi top into the air before catching the staff as I let my ki surge with a roar.

Radiant crimson and golden light shone from my body as I picked up speed, catching Syn Shenron's eyes widened as the red fur of Super Saiyan 4 covered my body before I extended the staff and thrust it into his chest.

The Dragon Balls rung as my staff crashed against them before the dragon was sent soaring backwards, an Instant Transmission helping me teleport right in front of him with Jingu Bang raised high.

Swinging it down, the air exploded as he raised an arm to block the attack, but I frowned as his ki flared and he looked at me with a wide grin.

“Oh, you're definitely far stronger than they said you would be.”

“What the hell are you dragons? Were you forged from the Dragon Balls?”

“Yes, with the negative energy that laid dormant inside the orbs with every wish that you wretched humans made. Then our master Babidi used his own magic to help us escape and now, we are free.”

'Yeah, it seems to be the same, but it looks like Babidi's magic was the catalyst for the Shadow Dragons forming instead of them being overfilled by negative energy from the wishes.'

“Then I assume you want revenge for us misusing you?”

“Revenge? Ha! No, we feel nothing grateful for you and your people that brought us into existence. We want to show you our appreciation…by killing you of course and then letting you reborn as fellow warriors of the Majin Empire.”

“So, slaves? I'll have to say no thank YOU!”, I grunted as I pulled my staff back, spinning over his arm as he grabbed at me before landing and hopping back when he fired a ki blast from his arm spike.

With a grunt, the Dragon shot forward, swinging at my head with a hook punch that I blocked before twisting and pulling him inwards. Kicking at his chest while snapping my arms away, I frowned as he pulled his arm free before landing a punch against my back.

To my surprise, it was more painful than I was expecting and I grimaced as I flipped through the air, landing on my feet and looking up just in time to see a fist slowly approaching my face.

Dropping Jingu Bang, I reached up and caught the fist, swinging the elbow of my free arm into the crook of his arm to knock it upward while twisting to land an elbow to his jaw.

Spinning back while still keeping my grip on his fist, Syn looked disgruntled at my punch as I pulled him closer, delivering a heavy elbow to his chest before slipping under his counter to catch Jingu Bang.

Hopping backwards as Syn rubbed his chest, I spun the staff before settling into a crouched stance with the end of the staff pointed at me. The dragon noticed me doing so, smirking as he stood with his left foot behind his right and his arms held to the side.

The air was tense as neither of us moved first, staying still as I scanned his form before he shot forward the second I shifted my footing. Swinging up one end of the staff as he punched at me, I knocked his fist upward before extending the other hand.

It slammed into his chest and pushed him back before I retracted it in that same instance, spinning it back and bringing it down while extending its size again until it was the same size as a bus.

The staff came down with a harsh blow and made him grit his teeth when he blocked it, but I retracted it immediately before throwing it at his head. Snapping my fingers as I rushed in, the staff glowed and split into three, attacking him from all directions before I slid under one and kicked his leg out.

Hopping to my feet behind him, I grabbed a staff as it came to me and spun it around my neck, swinging it at his head before pulling another while letting the first go when he grabbed it.

Rolling under the staff, I slapped his feet before slapping his wrist to make him drop the staff, but I was surprised when he caught it with his feet and smacked my side with a grin.

Kicking it upwards, a flurry of thrusts made me frown as I slapped them away, both of us picking up speed before we vanished and swung the staves against each other.

However, I grinned as I dismissed the staves while kicking the original away, making his eyes widen as he over-extended and got rewarded with a heavy punch to the gut that sent him flying backwards.

Raising two fingers to my forehead, an Instant Transmission shifted me through space and behind him, delivering a vicious drop kick that sent him into the ground before I frowned as he rolled with the impact and onto his feet.

'No visible damage other than a few cuts and slight bruising. Meanwhile, he landed those two hits and I can already feel the bruises forming. I know that Dad and Vegeta struggled against him in that canon timeline, but if he gets that seventh or-Motherfucker,' I cursed as I saw the orb growing out from his chest, watching as Syn Shenron smirked before he vanished.

Shrinking Jingu down and placing it in my ear, I quickly raised my arms in a cross-guard right as he appeared in front of me and delivered a powerful punch to them.

A wheeze escaped my lips as I felt my arms flaring in pain as I got sent flying backwards, flipping a few times before catching myself only for something to crash onto my shoulders and push me down into the ground.

Rolling out of the ground with a bit of a stumble, I watched as Omega Shenron crashed knees first into the ground, a chuckle escaping his lips as I shook my arms while rolling my shoulders to get the aches from them.

With no warning, the dragon rushed in and I dodged to the side, hopping back with a high kick that he blocked and countered with his own low kick. Quickly catching myself with my hands, I kicked at his chest and got my leg free, spinning with a handstand and lashing out with a kick to his side that pushed him away.

Landing on all fours, I lunged at the dragon right as he recovered with a grin, pushing my fist down and bringing his hand down with a chop to my elbow right as I pulled my arm back and spun with a heel drop.

Unfortunately, the dragon blocked it while countering with his own stomp to my side, making me groan as the force of it travelled through my body and had me ragdolling across the landscape.

Thankfully, I staggered to my feet, but I held my side with a grimace while watching as the dragon continued to walk to me with a smirk.

“I had expected more from the so-called King of Earth, but I must say that I am highly disappointed. Where is your pride, allowing your opponent to do this to you?”

“You say that and I can see you doing the same with the orbs. Can't fight without the boost from them, can you?”

“Oh, you're mistaken. The Dragon Balls were always my power. I simply lent some of my power to my siblings so that they would grow it for me. After all, the stronger they become, the stronger I am,” He spoke as he came closer, to which I glared at me before shifting back into my fighting stance.

Well, there's a reason I did all that training on Yardrat to master control over my ki and that training on King Kai's planet.

Taking a deep breath, I began to pull on my ki, watching Omega immediately rush at me to stop whatever I was doing. Blocking the punch and lifting my knee to stop his kick, I pushed his leg down while twisting his arm, lunging in with a knee strike to push him back before spinning and landing a heavy roundhouse.

The kick made him spin as I leapt into the air with another spin, landing another kick to his jaw before dropping and sweeping his legs out from under him. Rushing in and grabbing his arms, I hopped and dropkicked him square in the chest, flipping backwards before crossing my arms in front of me as he caught himself.

'Body, don't fail me now.'

“Kaio-ken!”, I roared, the scarlet energy immediately roaring to life before I hissed as I felt the surge of ki pushing my body beyond its limits. Every breath felt like agony and every move made me grimace, but as I watched Omega's eyes widen, I grinned before rushing in.

Stopping as he swung a spike at me, I vanished and reappeared at his side, Jingu Bang flaring with ki as I swung down and snapped the spikes on his back clean off.

Continuing with my attack as he hissed at the pain, I slapped the end of it into his ribs, seeing him let out a gasp, but I didn't let up. Slapping Jingu upwards as he kicked at me, I watched as his knee snapped upwards before I spun the staff around my body and slammed it down upon his shoulder.

Yet as the blow connected, my eyes widened as Omega caught it, his eyes a deep red as his Majin mark glowed purple and his body radiated a dark aura.

“I was going to play around, but you just hastened your own death,” He growled before he pushed my staff upwards and I let it go as the dragon rushed in with a punch.

It was a simple jab thrown at my head and I dodged it, but my eyes widened as he retracted his fist just as quick and delivered the same punch numerous times to my chest.

There was no pain as the dragon lowered his fist and stood back, making me blink before my vision went white and I felt myself crashing through several things.

When the world finally stopped spinning, I blinked as I found myself staring at the clocktower in the centre of the Monke Kingdom, sitting up to stare at the shocked citizens and the gaping trail that was left in my wake.

'…Oh, so we're going to that level, are we?', With a grunt, the air popped as my aura flared and I shot out of the kingdom, crossing hundreds of kilometers in the blink of an eye to see Omega doing the same.

Pulling a fist back, we both swung forward at the same time and shattered the field below us, but I gritted my teeth and surprised him as I continued pushing before he abruptly flew backwards.

Catching myself as he rushed back in, I blocked his punch while countering with my own, flaring my ki at the point of impact and making his eyes widen as the shockwave from my punch slipped through and made him frown.

He was quick to recover and kicked at my leg, making me step back before I lunged back in with a punch only for that to be a feint as I dropped my fist and delivered the axe kick to his shoulder instead.

The blow almost forced him to a knee before he caught himself, pushing me back with a flip and making me growl as he landed a heavy gut punch that nearly knocked the wind out of me.

“Kaio-Ken Times 3!”, I growled, grabbing onto his wrist as he swung at me before pulling him into a shoulder charge that sent him skidding backwards.

Rushing at him as he recovered, I ducked under his swing while wrapping my arms around his limbs, suplexing him skull first into the ground right as his spikes grew out and stabbed into my arms and legs.

Yet as he rolled away, his eyes were wide as I turned and lunged at him, pinning him to the floor with a chokeslam before I began to land punch after punch against his jaw.

Even as he swung back, I could see the panic dancing in his eyes as I let my instincts take over, continuing to deliver punch after punch that made more nervous by the second.

It was not long before he quickly kicked me away, but I flipped over midair while cupping my hands at my side, watching him do the same while rolling to his feet as I landed crouched.

“Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha!/ Nova Star!”, The both of us thrust our hands forward and unleashed colossal beams at the other, his scorching energy clashing with my own condensed energy.

The two blasts struggled against each other and I gritted my teeth as I saw him growling,

'Expel,' I began as I let my ki into the air, weakening my blast as a result and watching him grin as he began to push more.

'Control,' Reaching out and controlling the ki all around me, I subtly gathered it behind me, Omega looking ecstatic as his energy began to burn my palms before I grinned.

'And absorb.'

“Kaio-Ken x10: Masenko-Kamehame HA!”, With a roar, I absorbed the energy behind me and fuelled it into the attack along with flaring my own Kaio-Ken to the maximum of what I could handle, watching Omega's eyes widen when the Kamehameha-Wave turned a shining gold and completely overwhelmed his energy.

I was not done as I gathered energy from the planet, cancelling out the Kaio-Ken as I rushed in and gathered the positive energy at my fist while watching Omega slowly falling with his entire lower body missing.

“Dragon Fist!”, I roared as I punched into his chest, grabbing onto the One Star ball before flaring out the positive energy inside his form and watching as the Dragon Balls glowed a deep orange while the dragon let out a pained roar.

The next moment, his body cracked and exploded into iridescent fragments of light as the seven orbs fell to the floor. Taking deep gulps of air to catch my breath, I winced as I clenched and unclenched my hands to get used to the burns while staring at the orange spheres at my feet.

There were no stars on any of them and the orbs themselves were slowly returning to the dark grey, but when they finally turned to stone, I fell onto my ass while taking a deep breath.

“Oh, isn't that a surprise? You even managed to beat the one that Babidi didn't expect you to,” A chill ran up my spine as a familiar demon crouched beside me, Dabura looking amused at my wide eyes before he lifted a finger and levitated the orbs upwards.

I quickly tried to catch him off guard, but my eyes widened as pain flared in my chest, slowly looking down to see his sabre stabbed through my chest before he pulled it out and I fell backwards.

“With your…Kaio-Ken, was it? It placed an immense stress on your body so that combined with the wound would be enough to kill you…if you chased after me. If you stayed here and rested your body, I'm certain you'll survive until your friends get here. Which one do you pick?”, He asked with a smile as he rocketed into the air and I forced my ki to circulate through my form and start the healing process as I watched him leave with gritted teeth.

Fuck.

“How was the experiment?”, Babidi asked as he floated in front of the dark brown orb that contained Majin Buu, grinning ecstatically as he saw the veins on it now being a much brighter pink than earlier.

“I have to admit that it was quite a success, but I must ask why you didn't let the dragons keep most of their negative energy. If you did, King Gohan and his forces would be dead by now.”

“Yes, but I don't want to win because of those dragons. I want my victory to be because of my father's greatest creation!”, The warlock spoke with a grin and Dabura just smirked as he placed the seven orbs around the larger brown orb, watching as all seven began to float around it.

It was not long before seven veins popped off of the orb and sucked them in, the larger orb pulsing and making Dabura grimace as he felt the energy inside it growing far more potent than he was expecting.

“This is a bad idea, isn't it?”, Cooler murmured from beside the Demon King and Dabura simply shook his head as he saw Babidi chanting while holding his hands to the orb.

“It is, but we do not question the orders of our master, do we?”

“We do not.”

“Soon, my creation will rise and the cosmos shall fear the name Majin Buu once again! For the Majin Empire!”

“For the Majin Empire!”

A/N: And the Shadow Dragon mini-arc was quick and finished, mostly because it's a set-up for Buu and a little something special~!! But we'll leave that for when it happens.
