Welcome! And I'm glad you like the chapter hehe. Honestly I was really very happy with how it rolled out myself. It almost wrote itself really, which is rare even for me. And he might have, but he also had to get Alyssa out of there. She was too squishy. Interestingly one of the scenes in the next chapter directly addresses how things shook out with the USS team, directly from their commander's perspective.

Anyway, gotta say, this chapter was amazing, pacing was well done, not too fast, not too slow, the actions and character interactions, chief's kiss. One of the most notable scenes is after they kill the axeman and start running; it goes strangely well with 'All the Strange Creatures' by Murray Gold. I'm a firm believer that Danny could have taken out that USS team if he had been determined enough to do so. Which makes me wonder how many people were left from that squad, how much did Danny destory them them?

Once was bad, but there's something I heard about needing two dots to draw a line, and Rebecca is nothing if not persistent. Herbs only do so much, and there's no hiding he now has more holes in him than when he left.
