That... is the single worst way his monster moonlighting has ever been described and I love it. I guess he is technically a mercenary too, at this juncture, but is he one of The Mercenaries? Hmm. All seriousness Alyssa is a huge boon to the whole fucking over of Umbrella project Daniel has been pushing. If nothing else, she knows some people.

I can't think of a better way than saying he's investigating Umbrella alongside Alyssa, even though he's actually a mercenary, but at least it's a way to ease her into it.

Which is true, apparently you can get some pretty serious damage just from a single shot, much less a firefight. Thank you though, I'm glad you're enjoying it.
