Collection 101 - 112 (older works)

I need to change some things about how I handle content. Therefore I'm giving away older artworks for free every week on Thursdays. The first collection is up already on deviantart: https://www.deviantart.com/lerra22/art/Collection-101-112-1181559664

Collection 201 - 212 will be uploaded next thursday and I will upload the rest in the weeks after that.

Why? I have noticed a lot of people complain about the fact that I remove older dropbox folders and they cannot access it when they sign up on Fanbox or SubscribeStar. I already started giving away recent artworks for free but apparently that wasn't enough. The extra images I made for subscribers are still considered 'too much' and some people have decided to post these on other websites - before I can publish them myself.

Even though I think it's not fair to people who have supported me for years and allowed me to make this many works, I feel like it's better to just give it all away at this point. Reason is simple: First it was just a few packs on gumroad. Then it turned into A LOT of packs on gumroad. Now that my gumroad shop has shut down people cannot get the artworks at all anymore and I'm not sure if I should start selling them again. After all, what kind of price am I supposed to put on it? To top it off, people will buy it > download it > cancel payments > upload it somewhere else. The only difference between me uploading it for free or some scalper is that I can get some credit for the effort.

First I want to thank everyone who bought packs and supported my work. Second I want to apologize to those same people that they paid for it and now I'm giving it away for free. I hope you can forgive me for choosing this path.

I'm affraid this will kill my income and the future is uncertain if I can keep doing this but this couldn't go on any longer.

So starting now I'm giving everything away for free. Regarding the quality of the works: The next piece I'm uploading is a rework of an older image and it will feature 3 versions:

1: The old version

2: The reworked version (time consuming version)

3: The reworked version but with considerable less time spent on it.

Version number 3 is what I am aiming for in the future. It's faster, less time consuming and I can finish some of these pieces in a day or 2. In the future, I want to output more works at the cost of quality. I said it before when I quit working on the comics and it felt like I was betraying supporters back then so I never pushed it through but right now, I feel like it's the best way going forward. Just make more artwork in order to create something that is worth supporting every month. Other than that, I also think it allows me to work on the game more often, so it's a win win for everyone. More images, more game updates, no need to pay for anything extra other than being subscribed.

I would love to hear your thoughts if this is the right path or not. If you decide to stop supporting me because of this: that is also something I understand.
