HELEN KELLER VIDEO - (VERY) ROUGH CUT #1!!

✨ Hi liars! ✨

Here it is, gang! The *INCREDIBLY* rough cut version of the Helen Keller video! We're so close! The albatross around my neck is lifting! I'll be free soon!

You know the drill at this point - I'm looking for feedback before I add on the last few parts and start adding finishing touches. I know some stuff is missing already, like footage and sound effects and references. I'm more looking for the following:

There's a disclaimer at the start written after running parts by a sensitivity reader explaining why some choices were made, or why this thing exists at all - but obviously since the topic is a very sensitive area I'd appreciate feedback whether its handled with a good balance of levity and proper care.

Other feedback (this joke sucked, this bit needs better sound mixing, this is too loud, there's this weird visual glitch at timecode you should fix, cut this bit out, expand on this chunk, you name it!) is - as always - appreciated too. Some jokes might need cutting on account of them potentially triggering a copyright claim, and the AFB still has a tight grip on their copyright. So getting their sign off on this will be interesting!

Feedback on the thumbnail would be good too. I'm currently spitballing ideas but I'm not exactly happy with the current one. Ideas for better ones appreciated too!

The final video will have a sponsored ad in it - but this one doesn't! Because you pay me money to make this kinda crap, and its insultng enough when Sky Go and NOW TV runs ads on shows you've paid them money to watch. I'm officially better than Rupert Murdoch (who doesn't own Sky anymore. So I'm better than Comcast!)

'Til next time, liars! Keep lying! ✨

Comments

really great video!! didn't feel rough at all, and it seemed like the sensitive topics were treated with due respect (from my very uninformed opinion) some minor notes: * 13:16 here you go from "the Tadoma method can successfully teach deafblind people to speak" -> "why don't we see more prominent deafblind success stories" -> "Alexander Graham Bell wanted deafblind people to communicate only with speech". this isn't a contradiction but it could be a tad confusing as it is now, since you don't clarify that Helen Keller didn't have an oralist education * some visual artifacting at 27:08
