Emphasis on the rough in rough cut.

So basically, there were two hold ups.

One, the reason I had promised to get the video out earlier than usual is that I was trying to use a simpler editing style. Something with lots of still photos in the vein of a Kraut video. I tried that, and I hated it. So I ended up redoing 80% of the video in the usual style.

Two, I got writers block for the conclusion, which isn't included in this version. So that you'll have to wait for with everyone else.

So, again, sorry for the wait. Hopefully, I'm making something worth it.

Any feedback would be appreciated, because this story has so many complexities I'm not really sure where I'm landing between making the video concise and not moving so fast, that the argument becomes incomprehensible.

Emphasis on the rough in rough cut.

A masterpiece, really

I've got to push back a bit on the way you characterized the bulldozer revolution. Madeline Albright stated that getting Milosevic out was a top priority, and US gave 30 million to the opposition parties and helped them work together (source below). I don't think this necessarily disproves the key point that the US is not able to just wave a magic wand whenever it wants to get people on the streets. The people in these countries have agency. Milosevic controlled everything in Serbia, and his opposition was fractured (or getting assassinated like stombolic). They needed help and, once they were on a more even playing field, they could finally be an effective opposition, representing the majority of Serbs. Putin and those like him are not wrong to see that the US played more than just a token role, however. See below at 2:58:00-3:02:00 https://youtu.be/431O_KSsxWU?si=l4UQK_mbSI6rWNSq

Yeah, unfortunately they are not consistent when it comes to updating us patrons, or general viewers for that matter. Hopefully we hear something soon. I am excited for the next video! I wonder what it will be about?

I became a member after watching Sarcasmitron's last video, which was fucking awesome... but I'm seeing that things aren't too active here? Most recent message here was yours from 2 months ago...

Is everything ok? I’m not concerned with when or even if the video comes out so much as I am worried about your health.

Did Clinton ever try to focus on coalition building with a non-European country? Every example you listed was him waiting for permission from a European country. Even Rwhanda, it was him waiting for permission from France not from, Rwhanda, with how you stated it.

Also, you very briefly mentioned in a previous video a basic explanation of what "caused" the 90s for Russia. I believe it was "they established private property with no way to protect private property." This was also joined by a compilation of the Russian 90s. And for that video, I think it was good in conveying the seriousness of the 90s to Russia, but I think since it was done so concisely, the context won't continue over into this one as well. So I think it would be worth adding in a few lines to either remind the audience of how insanely impactful the 90s were to Russia and more importantly its average citizen, or have a few lines explaining it as if the viewer didn't have any previous context for the decade. With how it's currently written in the video, I think the context is really important to the viewer to understand the emphasis you point out on why Putin making a cause for the 90s is so important.

I think you need to explain why Putin hated Medvedev's approval of Obama beginning operations in Libya. It seems like a core pillar piece to this narrative to be left as just a simple fact that Putin didn't like it. How could Medvedev not know Putin would hate it? What did Putin hate so much that it began a domino effect that lead to the Russian protests.

Love the long format and looking forward to the Final Cut. Take your time though! Found your videos through recommendations and gotta say your style and substance is more than worth any extended wait time

(3) It also feels like way too much content is packed into the last 10 minutes- eg would help to explain some of the context of reception for the Nuland call and how right wingers cite that as an anti-NATO thing.

(2) LOL at the Quincy Institute shoutout

(1) I could do with some explanation of the Chomsky-Parenti tendency (how they came to support Milosevic and the anti- NATO politics there) since it does feel kinda blindsiding to throw that position in there.

Fantastic! Looking forward to the conclusion. My friend, stop worrying about the time it takes to make these. And don't compromise your style in an attempt to release content faster. They're wonderful and very engaging. It takes time, energy, and creativity. You will never satiate your audience or the algorithm, even if you released every day. Both will always want more of you and will give you less in return. Do your best, release content you're happy with, and stay consistent. Results will come!

I feel like the time in the video when the crimean invasion happens and when russia sent rebels to the donbas wasnt clear enough. When obama gave the speech dismissing color revolutions, its not entirely clear to me, whether the rebels are doing their thing already or not. Additionally, some of your desktop-recordings still have your browser and windows bar in them, but you probably know that.

that went places I would never even have imagined, but ending on essentially "Putin is a massive paranoid conspiracy brained idiot" almost made me chuckle until I realized what the human cost of that was. I'm reminded of hbomb's joke in the New Vegas video "Say what you want about fascist autocracy, but at least it means a bunch of ignorant people can't accidentally vote in a moron and completely destroy their society. Instead you have one strong charismatic leader destroying your society."

I would like to get more information on how LaRouchism developed, I don't fully understand where it comes from, where it fits in politically, and how it developed. I doesn't need to be too in depth but the section feels a bit lacking to me right now, especially becuase I didn't hear about it before. Maybe a bit of a formal conclusion at the end would help as well. Otherwise the narrative you put foreward is pretty convincing to me, great job!

I wish I had some meaningful feedback, but I am far from knowledgeable. I will trust you on the research. All I can say is that it is well exposed, captivating and the delivery is as good as ever. Great job.

I sort of agree, but that may be due to my own ignorance. As an external observer, it looked like Afghanistan was the act of revenge, and Iraq an oil grab. But I am no expert.

at 22:05, I was momentarily confused about the timeline, because you were showing clips of 2020 (to show where the Chossudovsky pathway led) then said we're going to 3 years later, 2003. Perhaps a rephrase of your transition and/or some kind of transition animation to explain we're returning to 2000, the main timeline... My overall impression is that this video is amazingly done and illuminates an ignored aspect of the past couple decades that have bewildered me (how/why these ideas have taken hold on the left and right at once). As for compressing it versus letting things breathe, I'm always a fan of letting things breathe. For the most part, despite how complex a picture that's being painted, this video has been fairly easy for me to follow. I just wonder if you cut some of your cuts a little too short to the point you're almost interrupting yourself I feel like the rough cut for this video already HAS a conclusion of a sort, or at least a destination (the main body of the river, to use your opening metaphor), the mainstreaming of Color Revolution theory. Maybe leave wrapping it all up and crafting a final unifying conclusion for all parts to a separate, shorter video that draws from the rest? Whatever you do, don't remove points to make it more streamlined

Secondly, I think the "revenge for 9/11 & grabbing the muslim world by the shirt" motivation of the Iraq war is perhaps a tiny bit overplayed relative to the evidence available? For example, there are a lot of quotes from 4-star General Clark [0] speaking of his discussions with Wolfowitz and other administration insiders that on one hand support large parts of your argument, but on the other hand allude to a lot of very typical "sphere of influence" type geopolitical motivations being bounced around within the administration at the time. For example, the middle east had been part of the Soviet sphere of influence, and the neoconservatives thought that regime change across *many* middle eastern nations could be possible, and could pry them towards the western sphere. Delusional, but that's par for the course. Like, the US has definitely organized many regime changes, but generally through direct or indirect application of hard force, not via "democracy promotion and NGOs and drum circles" stuff that you point out as being not very useful. So I don't think it undermines your argument to acknowledge that some of those motivations existing, without validating Putin / LaRouche-ist lunacy. But mostly I don't know how much it aids the overall point to include unless the idea is that Putin and Russia have an explicitly revenge-based motivation for starting the invasion of Ukraine, which the rest of the video doesn't discuss if so. One recommendation, some of the conspiracy theory explanations, particularly the ones about midway through (24m06s), could use a banner clarifying that it's an explanation of the conspiracy theory rather than an exposition of fact. It goes on long enough that that context could otherwise be easily lost.

Daniel

Good for you for knowing your worth and being better than kraut

Holy shit dude how do you get all this archival TV footage? This one is kind of mind-blowing in tying the previous videos back to US politics.
