It was a rage when the album was released and this movie did really well at the box office in terms of business too. Riteish Deshmukh (the women killer) was the revelation in this film because prior to this, he was majorly known for his comic roles but this role of his did get him all the appreciation and recognition for something different. I don't know why but Mohit Suri (the director) has this template in some of his movies like this one and Malang. Do check out Aashiqui 2 at some point (I know the list is long at the moment) but it's a good one again with great music.
