I don't get JeffM hating the Silksong map, and saying it's hard to read. Is he using the L1 button to see the zoomed in view of his current area?

2025-09-16 12:43:10 +0000 UTCSomething I'm learning to accept (yet hope MinnMax is also considering) is the fact that some folks in games media tend to see games as a list of items to check off before dashing toward the next big thing. It's their source of income just as much as their passion. MinnMax has the responsibility of covering 100+ games per year. So when something really special comes along, it can be frustrating when people give an early verdict and move on often before they really scratch the surface. This also makes the annual Two Tens (and similiar conversations) a bit tricky as they tend to favor how well a game was marketed over the truly special experiences that couldn't afford more than word of mouth. Though to be clear, I do think MinnMax does better than many outlets, highlighting experiences like 1000xRESIST.

2025-09-14 03:56:48 +0000 UTCBlue Prince’s perhaps biggest twist (mid spoiler) is that the end credits are a big red herring. They roll 1/3 of the way through, mechanically and story wise. So when people talk about “finishing” it after reaching Room 46 it always bums me out 🥲. So much more to see!
