The Wii U actually got me back into console games after the lead up to the Xbox One got me to sell my 360 and just play games on my college laptop. Wind Waker HD. Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Smash 4, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, etc got me to buy one in late 2015. The Switch is still my favorite system by a lot, but I love the Wii U and it's still very charming.
The Memory Card
2025-02-06 09:50:14 +0000 UTCI played my Wii U a bunch for the first year, and then not at all until Breath of the Wild came out. Then I didn't get a Switch until.... like 2 or 3 years ago. I simply realized with Wii U that Nintendo wasn't compelling me to buy their games very much anymore, even though when I play them I enjoy them. All that to say, Wii U was fun, but I probably won't get a Switch 2, and the preamble there is to explain why.
