You've mentioned coming to Quebec on a trip not too long ago and have tried pronouncing our world famous swears a couple of times since then. Since they were (sadly) not quite up to snuff, I thought I'd humbly offer an guide to Quebec swears for the American aficionado to see if it can make you a bit better in Québécois ! Here's a non-exhaustive list of how to pronounce the most useful swears : - Calisse = Kaw-Lease Def : It simply means a Chalice. - Tabarnak = Ta-Bar-Knack Def : It comes from the word «tabernacle», the big box in a church containing the ciborium and the sacramental bread (also named Host in english it seems). - Esti = Eh-Stee Def : «Hostie» is the sacrmental bread. Mess up the word a bit and you get «Eh-Stee». - Criss = Chris Def : It's simply derived from «Christ». - Ciboire = See-Bwar This is the ciborium in english. It is a receptacle made for holding the sacramental brad. And the beauty of it all is that they can all be compounded together in the most satisfying release of frustration you can utter : Eh-Stee de Kaw-Lease de Ta-Bar-Knack de Chris de See-Bwar ! My freshman year of college, I was in a group project with randomly assigned group members, and to make a long story short, we weren't a very effective group. At the end of the project we had to evaluate each other's contributions and one of them wrote that I'm a very fast typer. It's a true statement but not one that really represented all of my contributions to the project. Have any of you gotten "compliments" like this?

Playing 1000xRESIST makes it feel obvious that games would take inspiration from theater from the way environments are staged to how the performances are delivered. I don't think many games are, as it seems like many are inspired by other sources like prestige TV.

My question is if you could pick any game to include in a classroom curriculum, what game would it be and what class would you include it in? A narrative driven game in high school English class, an easy-to-learn multiplayer game for rainy day elementary school recess, or something else entirely? All the best!

This past weekend my girlfriend and I were cleaning our shower and we're having difficulty cleaning out small crevices near the floor board. My girlfriend came in to save the day, however and took a small motorized water gun with a short water supply and "macgyvered" it to a a small hydro pack to make a mini power washer! It sped up the process immensely and was really satisfying to use. Have you ever had to make an invention on the fly like this to solve a task?

Is this the greatest gaming feat (feet, insert pun intended joke here) ever?! It took her 4 days, 239 attempts (14 hours). I repeat, one of the hardest bosses even by FromSoftware standards x 2, at the same time! How do you top this? Thanks.

In this episode Haley talks about her finally playing outerwilds and how she has somehow managed to stay spoiler free all these years. This is impressive and it had me thinking. You all are exposed to video games more than most I would think, and are more likely to have something spoiled because of that. Has there ever been something spoiled for you that legitimately upset you? Not like just mildly annoyed, but genuinely mad or pissed. Mine would have to be *spoiler warning* for the Last of Us II. Joels death in the last of us II. A coworker asked me what I thought about their death, only FEW DAYS after the game came out! I didn’t even have time to pick up the freaking game! I was so mad I had to excuse myself from the room and didnt speak with that person for a while.

On two first dates where we went dancing I ripped my pants right down the middle. One time I was able to hide it but the time where the rip was so big I had to ask my date if we could tie her sweater around my waste (it was early September but warm outside) was actually the one that ended up being a long term relationship that lasted more than two years.

I recently got one of those little trees you hang on the rearview mirror...but apparently the instructions tell you to leave the plastic wrap on and poke a hole in the top and gradually slide the plastic down the tree in order to control the release of the scent into the vehicle. I'm pretty sure no one on planet earth uses those little tree fresheners that way. I did it that way for for two weeks, but then the tree and the plastic get more and more obnoxious as your sliding it down the tree. Any tips or alternatives?

For me, it was Crazy Frog Racer for PS2. I paid three dollars for it at a gas station when I was 10, and still felt ripped off. Especially if done right. I recently bought SIFU and I am loving it for it. You literally get better and also upgrade your stats. When once a level seemed difficult is now much easier because you've grown as a player in that level. My question is what genre has made appreciate it more after you've actually dived into it and see things differently.
