2021-04-28 14:34:27 +0000 UTCHello all! With Ratchet and Clank around the corner, I'd like look back at a forgotten Insomniac game. No, im not talking about the Gamestop published Song of the Deep, im talking about Fuse. I cant help but think it would have blown up if it came out today. With the moment to moment gameplay of Outriders and emphasis on co op, it could totally be a gamepass hit. It even has an art style not too different from Fortnite, especially if it released in its Overstrike phase. Is this just me? Fuse seems like a good time right now, and maybe it deserved a second chance.

2021-04-28 12:47:00 +0000 UTCHi there MinnMax, With the news that the PS4 is a truly online-only console, does that impact your perception of the pitch for the Xbox One or has it stayed the same? Here's the link, in case you are unaware of the issue: https://twitter.com/DoesItPlay1/status/1375262063195480066?s=19

2021-04-28 11:25:52 +0000 UTCHey MinnMaxers, I've been replaying Horizon on New Game+ in anticipation for Forbidden West, and have absolutely loved revisiting what I consider one of the best recent sci-fi stories. Upon rewatching the announcement trailer from E3 2015, I realised that what they showed was a remarkably good representation of what would release two years later. We all know about how gameplay demos created for E3 can be a crunch-ridden rush to put something out which is unfeasible to reproduce for a whole game, but I was struck by the fact that taking down a Thunderjaw feels as good as it looks in that first demo. In your opinion, what are some of the best E3 demos, in terms of revealing something new and exciting, which is then actually delivered upon when the game released? What about the opposite - who are the worst offenders at totally misrepresenting what the final product would become? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Jonathan

2021-04-28 09:41:54 +0000 UTCHey gang! Are there any games NOT currently in your physical library that you would love to have? For me, it's oddly Frogger Adventures: Temple of the Frog for GBA. Definitely a game no one has thought of for decades but holds a special place in my heart as the first game I ever owned. My toddler brother bit the cart clean in half when we were young, and I just want it back :(
2021-04-28 08:36:55 +0000 UTCHey CLCs, so Nier Replicant added a new achievement/ending(?) Where you have to look up the skirt of an intersex character, at which point they kill you and you get a game over/ending. This gives the "Daredevil" achievement which references "discovering the character's secret". This is obviously a callback to the 2B "butt achievement" in Automata, but this one feels even more gross and offensive. Why do developers keep making these "jokey" achievements? especially in emotionally heavy games/scenes. At best, it takes you out of the game/scene and at worst, it's straight up offensive.

2021-04-28 05:37:00 +0000 UTCHey there cohorts! Since most of your work is video game related, what are some articles or videos you’ve done that are not video game related?

2021-04-28 02:05:40 +0000 UTCHi Ben, friends, and the two Ns. Hope all is well. What are some things that you think games should implement more in 2021 and going forward? Like, for example, more randomization in world's, sharks, magic missiles, genre crossovers, bumping soundtracks, nudity, or cooking as examples. Personally, I'd like to see more abstract worlds, but I might be a weirdo. Take care!

2021-04-28 02:01:23 +0000 UTCZombie apocalypse or alien invasion? That’s it.
2021-04-28 01:39:25 +0000 UTCWhat's popping cohorts? Friend of the show Jacob Geller put out another great video this week about games that save the best moment of their game for last, contrary to the development standard of putting that type of effort into its beginning. He mentions Thumper, Pistol Whip 2089, Superhot Mind Control Delete, and The Wonderful 101. Is there any games you would add to that list?
