Been listening to the OST for Silent Hill 1-4 on pretty much constant loop during work the last several days, finally gave into my urge to do some Silent Hill 2/Maria fanart! I draw so very little SH fanart for whatever reason but it's one of my favourite game series (up to a certain point, although even the not-so-good games have their own dysfunctional charm as well)
I know this quote is said by James' wife at the beginning of the game and not by Maria but it still felt like it worked here, just the connection between the two women and what they mean to James, especially in his purgatory that is Silent Hill.
Also ngl lie I maybe wanted to draw Maria because her game model is... not so pretty imo I dunno XD

Ps. I forgot that I'd recently changed my desktop background so when I eventually minimized all my stuff to open up the internet, mf busted a gut when I saw that gd dog right there (I have two monitors at my work station, if you're wondering why my screen is so w i d e )

2021-07-20 20:09:20 +0000 UTCoh yeah, the whole story behind the remaster is really sucky from a player POV but the story with the tiny little developer tasked with releasing it was also apparently a huge nightmare! Just unfortunate all around, while being also unsurprising considering it's Konami that let it happen XD
