Oh youΒ΄re right... The silence....upsi :D :D Haha Jodie really belived that would have been her ending? Wow, IΒ΄m so glad it wasnΒ΄t, cause she deserves a waaaay better ending. Thank you for that clip. Wow your comedians are way funnier than any of the German ones I know. Love the british humor :) I had no idea we had seen Karl before, thanks for letting me know :)

"... and the second I pressed stop ... it was like ... Men in Black ...", Nicole, Reaction to "Eve of the Daleks" at 4:40 No, no, no! You're talking to Doctor Who fans - you should make a Doctor Who reference! "it was like ... you know ... the Silence ..." πŸ™‚ "When I set this going, the TARDIS will go into self-reset, which should ... clear out all the Flux debris, minimise the number of doors, and be back to fully functioning. But it'll be out of service for a little bit.", The Doctor, "Eve of the Daleks" Ok, it's a simple plot device to make sure they can't use the TARDIS to get out of this mess - not completely original, we've seen it before from stories like "The Impossible Planet" and "The Ghost Monument" and it probably won't be the last. "Exterminate!", "Not like this.", ZAP, The Dalek and the Doctor, "Eve of the Daleks" That was the first time through the loops. When Jodie read this in the scripts she said that she genuinely believed that she had been written out of the episode. "From a personal point of view, getting killed by the Daleks was just ace ... It almost fulfilled a life ambition, when I used to hide behind the couch because I was scared of them, to think that one day I'd be taking them on and having a fight with them.", John Bishop who plays Dan, Behind-the-scenes video about "Eve of the Daleks" That was from the same video as Jodie's comment. It's really nice that people who watched Doctor Who as kids get to be on the TARDIS and run away from Daleks as adults. "Time loop.", "Time loop.", "Groundhog Day. Same difference.", The Doctor, Yasmin, and Dan, "Eve of the Daleks" I like it when Doctor Who refers to other popular media within the programme. I recall that David's Doctor mentioned "Back to the Future" in "The Shakespeare Code". "How would you feel about destroying this place?", "I mean, I'd have to talk to my insurance providers.", The Doctor and Sarah, "Eve of the Daleks" As others have mentioned, Sarah is played by the wonderful Aisling Bea. Comedy actors work great in Doctor Who - see Catherine Tate as a fantastic example. And John Bishop (Dan). Coincidentally I just saw Aisling in a "QI" repeat last night. Here's a clip from that episode where Aisling gives an impression of Sandi Toksvig: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRfgiDOzGp8 "Did you duck?", "Yeah.", The Doctor and Nick, "Eve of the Daleks" Adjani Salmon playing Nick is another comedy actor. "Oh, 'Elf'. No, it's... the 'S' fell off.", Sarah, "Eve of the Daleks" Funny. But, I'm going to be hyper-picky here: at the beginning there are floodlights over the sign and they're centred over the "ELF" not where it would be if there used to be an "S". "Good display. Just for me, is it?", Karl, "Eve of the Daleks" The guy (Karl) at the end who was admiring the fireworks - we've seen him before. He was the crane operator in Jodie's first story (remember his self-help messages "I am valued."). "Because something seems impossible. We try, it doesn't work, we try again. We learn, we improve, we fail again, but better, we make friends, we learn to trust, we help each other. We get it wrong again. We improve together, then ultimately succeed. Because this is what being alive is. And it's better than the alternative. So come on, you brilliant humans. We go again and we win.", The Doctor, "Eve of the Daleks"

A great episode and fun as well. Love all the Dalek dialogue, "Daleks do not have managers" All the Dalek stories in this Doctor's era have been great. I orginally gave this a 4/5 but I'm boosting it up to 5/5. I have it ranked 45th/140. I also love Aisling Bea. Often see her in many 'comedy' panel shows.
