Ian has beaten me to the comment that the pilot episode of K9 and Co was broadcast but no actual series. I am tempted to be glad because it didn't look like it would have been half as good as The Sarah Jane Adventures turned out to be. But maybe we could have had both. I love the home-made aspect of the parody. Even the music played on some a rather cheap-sounding instrument has its charm. A hi tech version would not have been nearly as much fun.

2024-12-08 17:34:48 +0000 UTCAs Ian mentioned, the first video was not so much a trailer for an unmade series, but the actual intro sequence to the full 50-minute series pilot episode "A Girl's Best Friend" broadcast on the BBC around Christmas in 1981. The full episode is fun - but the newer Sarah Jane Adventures series are much more watchable.

2024-12-08 15:30:29 +0000 UTCNo,K9 and Company was very much made and broadcast! This was broadcast at Christmas 1981,and did well in the ratings - but the BBC decided not to commission a series from it. Reacting to the rest of this Pilot episode will be a potential future reaction from you. :)
