Leave it to Monster to always tease other Serial Killers like Bundy and Gacy people wanted a season of 😂 No more Richard Speck tho please 😭 The fiction here was peak again, in true Tarantino forms. However it didn't take away from my enjoyment of this season of Monster. I think they brought a lot of things to the table to think about in regard to Eg Gein and everything surround him. We definitely look forward to Season 4 Lizzie Borden and may even check out the Peacock Gacy show if you guys really want! That would be a Patreon exclusive however. Charlie Hunnam did amazing! oh... AND BRING BACK MIND HUNTER CAUSE SEASON 1 WAS AMAZING AND I WANNA REWATCH IT AND FINALLY WATCH SEASON 2 IF THEY BRING IT BACK 😭

2025-10-23 08:14:12 +0000 UTC... another thing. Mindhunter S2 is AWESOME, please watch it. Also, the BEST true crime show I've ever seen is S1 of Manhunt called "Unabomb". Paul Bettany plays Kaczynski with Sam Worthington (Avatar) as James Fitzgerald. It is phenomenal. S2 was amazing as well, about Richard Jewell, but it's been taken off of mainstream streaming for some reason. I had to watch a pirated version off of some rando site that I found on Google after two hours of searching. Another suggestion since we seem to like the same thing... also on Netflix... movie called "The Highwaymen" about the two ex-cops that hunted down Bonny & Clyde... Frank Hamer (Kevin Costner) and Maney Gault (Woody Harrelson)... one of my favorite movies of all-time. Last thing... I wrote a blog about this.... this is the first time I can remember seeing a show essentially make a plea to bring back a DIFFERENT show. The way they echoed Mindhunter (the real names were used in this one... Bill Tench and Holden Ford were fictional names) seemed like a plea to bring back one of the best true crime shows we've seen in awhile. Anyway, sorry that' a lot. Thanks again! 2025-10-23 03:55:10 +0000 UTCGreat job as always guys. You've got a longtime fan now. The Gacy show on Peacock was really good, definitely worth watching, but damn they killed this season of Monster. I LOVED it. Hunnam was incredible. For me as I mentioned and you mentioned, the connection with my Mom/Schizophrenia and the terrible mental health system really hit home. My Mom had slow developing Schizophrenia for 16 YEARS starting in 2003. We called the police more times than I can count. She heard things, saw things, believed things, made threats, and NO ONE helped us until in 2019 she got in a car accident (with no license or insurance... we tried to take her keys away from her but it was impossible... I truly believe she would have stolen a car) and left the scene. A police officer went to her door (thank Goodness it was a young female officer) and took her in on a mental health hold. Within a week a judge had ruled she could be committed. She stopped eating and drinking and we watched her deteriorate. She had passed away within a few months. I don't have an answer, but I do know our mental health system is FUCKED up.

2025-10-23 03:17:08 +0000 UTCi feel the same way at the end of the season. did they over do and lie about some parts? oh yeah! but in the end i do think its fair to tell both points of view. Empathy for Ed doesn't mean we agree, understand or accept what he did. At the end of the season, some people will hav it and others won't feel it for Ed. I do think he was a very mentally ill man in unfortunate time in the world, who had a very isolating and abusive upbringing. Everything I've read about him, he does seem like he'd have a low IQ or something. Thats why he was to trusted and really did do a lot of small work around the community for money -- even the babysitting. He apparently did that a lot haha. Idk there has never been anyone like him, since. He did what he did, but not bc he "enjoyed" it. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if he didn't think he did all of those things. Because he was so mentally ill and disconnected from real life.
