You weren't entirely wrong. Asami was originally supposed to be in cahoots with her dad, but the fans loved her so much that they developed her character more. This show will do a good job or breaking many tropes.

The music, the animation, the voice acting, everything is on point. I can’t wait to see your reaction to the last three episodes, based on how much you’ve liked them so far you are gonna love it
