Even if their story is to be believed, and if so, yes the parents kinda had it coming, but even then they dont have a right to kill them. They should have gotten of with manslaughter imo

Yes, it shows how terrible that lawyer was as a person, but it is also making a 'humorous' situation about a disgusting crime towards a real child.

But it is also new news but The LA district attorney, George Gascon stated earlier this month, that his office will be reviewing the Menendez case due to new evidence (the letter) to see if a resentencing is warranted. Though Gascon says this as he is currently campaigning for reelection, so nothing is yet guaranteed.

It summarizes the case really well, and it definitely clarifies the show more, and how a lot of the theories presented in it are quite literally false. You also get to see a few clips from them taking the stand in the first trial, but their entire testimony can also be found on YouTube. There is sooo much more that is brought up when watching those, that really shocked and saddened me. So definitely recommend watching some of those as well if you have the time.

2024-10-15 21:42:26 +0000 UTCI know they’re together now but that scene of them getting separated is extremely upsetting. I can’t even imagine going through all that but at least having your brother by your side and then you have to go through years without seeing them or hearing their voice.

2024-10-15 20:17:19 +0000 UTCThis is where I think they just made up a ridiculous amount for no reason over then to make the brothers villainous. 1. Jill didn’t stop being Lyle’s attorney because of the tapes (which are not correct themselves either but that’s a whole other story). The brothers ran out of money and Leslie only stayed on the trial after Erik begged the judge in the courtroom to let her stay on as a public defender. While Jill wanted to have time for family. Her and Lyle ended on good terms, her daughter used to even visit with her to see Lyle. 2. Erik and Leslie never fought like this. Leslie adored Erik and has only spoken highly of him since either trial. And Erik has also only spoken of Leslie with love and talking about how important she was to him. 3. The scene that showed Erik slipping with a popsicle in his mouth just felt disgusting to me. The medical record was from when Erik was 7, not a teenager. And the medical examiner said he believed it was due to “oral copulation”. When the prosecutor tried to ask if it could have been from a “popsicle”, the medical examiner was very frustrated with the denial of what the cause likely was. The medical examiner had studied victims of sex abuse for years, working with police to determine credible claims, and he 100% believed Erik had been a victim of sexual assault. 4. The defense proved in court that the naked photos (which were NAKED sexual photos in real life) couldn’t have been taken by each brother. The sexual photo of Lyle was on the roll first, then a photo of Erik waking up in bed was taken, then the naked (sexual) photo of Erik was taken next. So unless Erik, at the age of 6, took sexual photos of his brother, then handed the camera to Lyle, went to sleep, woke up later that morning, then Lyle took sexual photos of Erik, the prosecution’s theory that they took it themselves makes no sense. It was either Jose or Kitty who took them. And let’s say for some reason, they did take the photos themselves. It would be very telling that such young children were taking sexualized photos like that. 5. The ending scene was just made up. 6. The boat captain said the brothers seemed very nervous and that the parents did not participate either. Kitty barely left from underneath the boat and said out loud that she didn’t know other people would be there, supporting Erik and Lyle’s POV of the boat trip. This are just some of the ridiculous things from this episode.

If you hear the testimonies, it’s a lot and so much of the abuse is left out. Like Kitty was not just letting it happen, she also sexually abused Lyle, told them they ruined her life, made lists of everything they did wrong that day to show it to the dad, neglect them since they were babies and so much more. They definitely deserve to have their sentence be reconsidered. A prison officer even said that he would feel safe to have them as neighbours and let them watch his kids.

2024-10-15 19:56:16 +0000 UTCamazing reaction!! i highly suggest reacting to the documentary and their real testimony. i would love to see your reaction and thoughts!! :) it clears a lot of things up!! and the testimony of the boat guy is portrayed completely wrong in the show. the real man testified and said there was something off about lyle and erik that day. they seemed very uncomfortable and afraid.

2024-10-15 19:25:35 +0000 UTCI know you guys have been feeding us with the back to back reactions and I’m so surprised to drop another episode so quickly so it’s totally fine if you take a couple of days off but I am so ready and I SO hope for you guys to watch the documentary it’s really good and informing! I think it would be a good reaction regardless because I love how you guys react. Also I try not to think so much about the fact that the brothers were separated for 22 years because it’s just SO heartbreaking and said if I think about it too much I will break down.
