Excerpt:
Rosa is a brilliant alien scientist occupying a senior position in an organization that operates in many parts of the world through research outposts, comprised of clusters of smaller research stations, in which different teams of scientists do their work.
Often researchers form deep bonds with their colleagues as a result of their prolonged stay in these outposts, and Rosa, the head of Station 21, seems to have built a particularly intimate bond with one of her human colleagues...
