If you haven't already, I would suggest the book! This show was good, but I still don't feel it was as good as the 80's show, and I don't think either really managed to fully capture everything the book was going for.

He wasn't expecting Blackthorne to be around her so he tried to lure them all to an open area unsuccessfully, then he got called out by John while trying to evade them. Now with ninja's mission accomplished his cover might not be blown, again.

2024-04-17 06:30:25 +0000 UTCAs much as I don’t like/do like Yabushige, I don’t believe he was trying to kill anybody (important) as when he said let’s go to X (specific place during the ambush), Mariko said no, let’s go to the reinforced doors and he made a face. I don’t think he meant to kill them but becuz Yabushige plays both sides, these plans always fall short.. I could be wrong and it was intentional tho
