They actually made another version called ALIVE in the 90s which was good at the time, some elements i liked a lot in the 90s version but this one is more accurate because they had some of the survivors participate and they even appear in the movie. The real Nando is in the airport scene before they leave to take the plane, Carlitos play his own dad when he says carlito my son it's the real Carlito saying all the names. Roberto plays a doctor at the end when they are at the hospital. Also one thing they should have put in the movie is when they talk to the dying co-pilot and he says god be with you, in reality he didn't say that he asked for his gun because he wanted them to shoot him but they didn't so he died the next day. They got that part right in the ALIVE movie. Another fact is that Nando was thought to be dead at first because he was in a coma from fractured skull, they put him at the back of the plane where it's colder, the cold actually prevented his brain from swelling and he woke up 4 days later.

2024-02-08 08:51:07 +0000 UTCI have also watched movie Alive and for that time the movie was very good, but this version is much more realistic and has than great work to show what this group has to go through, the survives have told that this movie has done great job of telling the true story to the audience(with the movie Alive they were not so much happy how the story was told), and we also have some actually survivers doing also cameo in this movie.

I read the book 'Alive' when I was younger and the 1993 movie of the same title with Ethan Hawke, Josh Hamilton, and Josh Lucas had an impact on how I choose my seat on airplanes! I was skeptical of this newer version of the story, but it's really good!
