I don't know if you guys will ever remember this but I think it's beautiful how Arya saved Bran. He never got the weapon, she did. And that goes back to Meera and Jojen when Osha plans to attack him and he goes "I'm unarmed... my sister carries the weapons"

Mari Pellecer

FYI, there was no need to turn your brightness up. By then the producers and the film crew fixed this problem.

Great Reaction...I left a longer comment on your other Episode, that isn't a Watch-Along, becausecI hate syncing up two devices...Lol. 😀

From the makers of "HOLD THE DOOR", comes the "BERRIC-CADE"!!!

Ruben Daniel

The night king gets NO sips.

I was pretty happy with Arya's act. I think of her that someone has been watching all her life, just like the 3-eyed Raven said he'd been watching Bran and the Reed children. She already had the aptitude for fighting, which her father supported. Her first trainer was a person from Bravos, and her second (Jaquen) invited her to the House of Black and White for training. Her motivation WAS to avenge her family, but she wouldn't have gone to Bravos without a reason. She learned that it wasn't HER to kill without a reason. Ja'quen (sp) looked pleased when she told him she was going home. Her training to be an assassin was what saved them all, but MANY people had a part. Jon was the leader who brought everyone together. That was his part. Arya was the assassin, Bran, the seer.

I’d quote Sam “Yes, well, I suppose life is unusual “

Hands down one of the best episodes of television ever made. I'm jumpy, nervous, crying and screaming for joy all right with you guys. I've seen this hundreds of times and it always hits me so hard. Thanks you guys....Love you!

Jessica Houser

Said it on the extended reaction, as fantastic as it was seeing Arya kill the Night King, I feel it really should have been Jon

Chrissy

i almost forgot how stressful this episode was lol😂😂

forestmarmot

Totally valid! I think though, whether the writers meant to have it be this way (i suspect not), Arya killing the NK made the most sense. Jon would have died if he fought the NK, he’s outmatched in strength and speed no matter which way we put it. I totally agree that the rivalry between not only Jon and the NK but also Bran and the NK basically amounted to nothing, but the only person with the skill to sneak up on the NK is Arya. She’s quite literally been training to fight this exact enemy since season 1, whether she knew it or not. I actually find it really full circle for her, and I can live with Jon’s purpose to have been to unite all of these people even though I would have loved a NK vs Jon showdown. He’s a leader like (both) of his dads. I like the idea that Arya’s purpose was much bigger than just avenging her family.

Pour one out for half the Dothraki, half the unsullied, Ed, Lyanna Mormont, Berick Dondarian, Ser Jorah, Theon, the Red Lady, the Night King and all of the dead.

Amanda Sargent

I’m crying with you both towards the end despite having seen this particular episode too many times… right as I was I thinking 🤔 I need a good laugh or I’m going to bed - Bridget came through. lol *red woman appears* towards the end…. Bridget “oh no” 😂😂🤣🤣🫡 Still going to bed though but thanks for the hilarity.

KT

Yeah, my feeling exactly. Arya being the one to kill the Night King makes zero sense to me. She barely even heard about the White Walkers the entire series.

Jason Cascante

1 of my biggest problems is that Jons entire story arc was being a bastard earning power to lead the living against the dead. He fought the dead multiple times, killed 2 white walkers and didn't even do anything in the actual final fight. Arya's arc was to become the best killer to avenger the wrongs done to her and her family and she kills the night king?!

Joseph LeRoy

Amazing! Thank you for the full length.

Omg, I saw this at lunch time and then forgot and just remembered and it feels like the best Friday night ever, like the dance in middle school that you’ve been looking forward to all week - EEEEEEE!

Did I just stay up until 1.15am to watch this? Of course I did 🤣 such a good episode

The change on Bridgette's face as Arya switched the knife.....pure gold.

D Gyre

Damn that was an experience. Even though I’ve seen this one probably 10 times the watch along made it even better. Freaking LOVE how Arya saves the day. RIP to our beloved fallen heroes.

Bill Bliss

No matter how many times I watch this episode, I'm sat at the edge of my seat every time..

Honestly this felt like it was my first time watching the episode, just wild. It was a great rewatch and we still have so much to cover 😭 but great reaction, can’t wait for the last few episodes! But Theon getting his goodbye from Bran kinda made it feel a little full circle? Cause if he didn’t do what he did, Bran wouldn’t be the Raven.

Ing

I'm weak and wobbly from the flu but you can bet your last dollar I'm watching this right now. ETA: Theon is my Boi, my favorite character, and I will die on that hill. This show is all about grey characters and the choices they make to either be better people or not. And his character arc is the best one. Brienne and Jamie are fighting back to back with the two halves of Ned's sword Ice, so it's like he is there to defend Winterfell one last time. These beautiful wonderful actors filmed this episode over 55 nights, and many of them had the flu. Emilia actually threw up off the side of the animatronic. They worked so hard on this season and it hurts my heart when people bad mouth it. The writers weren't the only ones working on it, there's a crapton of other people that worked really hard and they need to be recognized for that. Side note, the actors were extremely tired and didn't want to keep going, they only did season 8 because they were promised it was the end. If there had been another season or two, many of them were ready to quit. Another reactor I watched a while back, when watching Drogon fly away shaking off the wights, said 'Taylor Swift that shit' and I will never be able to unhear that lol. Also, my favorite meme is the one where Bran is Mickey Mouse from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, giving Arya the dagger, and saying 'this is a special tool that you'll need later'.

Tuning into the full-length watchalong for this one. Bridgette looks terrified!
