I had to keep an eye out for this - but both definitely do happen on their attempted escape trip, just like Lottie saw/said they would! Because they do pass that river that's all red (as Misty says, from the iron in the rocks) and then, later, when Van is attacked by the wolves, Tai fires a red flare at the wolf to try to scare it away - it doesn't help, but it does fill the air with red smoke.

Obviously the latter happens when part of the group goes off to find help & Tai rationalizes the blood in the river after Misty gives her explanation & she blames that for the compass acting up. The red smoke was LL's crash, right? I feel like it only could've been that or the flare gun Tai shoots at the wolves attacking Van.

In that episode where Laura Lee baptizes Lottie in the water, Lottie looks up at her and, through the water, we see Laura Lee's head surrounded by this kind of blooming light. At first, I thought it was supposed to be holy light, but then it dawned on me - that was Lottie seeing Laura Lee's death before it happens in *this* episode. They don't really make a big deal of it like they did with the bear and the sick deer, but my jaw *dropped* when I rewatched that scene with you two and saw that bit.
