2025-03-20 01:54:40 +0000 UTCThe way Season 2 and especially this season, even in the first two episode, slaps you square in the face with its politics and how blatantly obvious it is who Homelander and his supporters are supposed to be, aggravated me. It’s not what the politics are, just how in your face it is. I watch shows to get away from the real world, especially politics, and while every show has political messaging in one way or another, it’s not usually this forceful, front and center and obvious. It usually sits under a few layers of writing.
