Dr. Who Reaction Series 6 - Night Terrors

Yes I loved that intro as well, thank you :) Yes the editing was really well done in this episode. Also the directing and the lighting and the dialogues....Well let´s just say I really really enjoyed this one :D Aaaawwwwww that kid sooooo cute, thanks for this little snipbit :D :D Waaaaait, this was the same writer as "The idiots lantern" one? Ow wow, I´d see he improved his writing quite a bit. :D :D At least from my point of view :)

This story was a banger :) I loved it so much. I understand that there are people who maybe don´t like spooky stories and would have rather wanted the main story line to continue, but if a one off episode is well done, I´m all here for them. I can´t wait to watch the next episode. Today is monday which means I will hopefully have the time today to watch the next episode. And as long as there are no ships, pirates or cowboys involved, it might be possible that I do like it :D :D Thank you so much for the video link. Wow this man can sing ! What a great voice. :) :)

Hahaha I´m glad you liked it. I was super surprised when the AI came up with this one. Loved it as soon as I saw it :) Weeeellllll....... I really have to disagree with you on comparing this episode to fear her :D I hated the episode "Fear Her", it gave me nothing....But this one was just great. Of course I´m aware that this is my personal opinion, but I loved this episode, and "Fear her" for me, is on another planet, or even in another universe, when it comes to the enjoyment factor :D :D :D I agree with you on the standalone part though. Was exactly what I was thinking, when I saw that rating. I do not mind standalone episodes, as long as I do enjoy them :)

"You see these eyes? They're old eyes", The Doctor, "Night Terrors" That was a fun intro! I like the way they edited the multiple conversations with the occupants of the flats at the beginning to give us the info in a fun way. So you thought the kid was cute? Here's him in the Confidential: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3hLhw7FEps This episode was filmed to be used as early as episode four in this series. So actually, Karen is playing Amy when Amy is the Ganger. There would have been another sliding wall showing the woman with the eye-patch. And there's also a line at the end: "Well, it's good to be all back together again in the flesh", The Doctor, "Night Terrors" which could have had multiple meanings - I guess. It's interesting you should bring up "The Idiot's Lantern" in your comments - that story and this one were written by the same writer. Actually, it's Mark's first story in the show that wasn't set in the past. I like the episode more than its IMDB rating (although I'm not going to sign into IMDB and stuff their ballot-box). "I've got to invent a setting for wood. It's embarrassing.", The Doctor, "Night Terrors"

Thank god for really good standalone episodes. Because we can watch and re-watch them without worrying about how they fit into the series arc. And the comment above about Fear Her is spot on in the sense that they both aim for a creepy, disturbing story about childhood fears and how we cope with them. But this one is executed so much better in the writing, the editing and the acting. I would rate it at 8.5 - 8.7. I will admit though that I like next week's story more than this one and I will be very intrigued to see what you think of it. Maybe you'll hate it! Who knows? I do love the little snippet of a song at the end which reminds us of the series arc and adds a touch of anticipation and foreboding. And finally, if you want to love Rory (or, at least, Arthur Darvill) even more, here is a video of him singing. Don't worry, it's not from Doctor Who so no spoilers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0cftRE2O8g

Best intro ever! Had me laughing out loud :D I'm glad you did the two minisode reactions,as they added more to this week's episode - not that it's bad (it's a sort of re-telling of Fear Her,with creepy dolls rather than drawings); and has something of a Twilight Zone vibe. I feel that the low ratings are to do with the fact that it's a standalone, rather than a further development of the ongoing storyline. It's not bad, just not what was wanted at the time. (There's no pleasing us fans!)
