CR Spoilers

This won't be posted for a few months but I was super motivated to work on the art for this piece for a future board. Here is a snippet of what the story is about >w>

"It is story that has been told many times, in many different ways. But I now the truth, because I was there. The Coltulets and the Maretagues are both ancient and prestige families that date back to the Pre-Equestrian Era, to the times of the old kingdom of Unicornia. Even back then, my grandfather would say that they were still at odds, fighting over the mines in the mountains of Unicornia for precious minerals. The Coltulets dug deep into the earth to find precious gems, like the priceless blue diamonds that were coveted in all noble households. The Maretagues shifted dirt and dug tunnels to harvest gold and silvers and copper lines, resources it seemed like every pony wanted and was searching for.

As the years went by, tensions between the two households never dwindled, even when I was a little girl. I was too young and naive to understand why my father would hurl such insults at our neighbors, or why my mother would scoff and turn up her nose when seeing a Maretague in the market. My older sister though, she never held such resentment. I don't think she had a cruel and malicious bone in her body.. 

Jewel was the next in line of being head of the Coltulet household. She was beautiful and graceful, but also decisive, passionate and headstrong. She was perfect in every way.. Maybe that's why the Maretague boy, Rhodium, fell in love with her. Jewel was betrothed to the heir of a powerful noble family in Canterlot, the Lightbringers, but I watched from my bedroom window as my sister would sneak way into the gardens to meet her secret lover. I over heard Jewel confiding in our cousin, Rosemary, about their plans to elope and run away together before anyone grew wiser.. But that never happened.

Jewel's and Rhodium's bodies were found in the family crypt, entangled with one another in an embraced. With the poison on Rhodium's lips, and the knife in Jewel's chest, it could easily be dismissed as suicide.. 

But I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that my sister was murdered."

That's only the first part of the story of the star-cross lovers. Obviously inspired off Romeo and Juliet, with a twist, and brought into Capricorn Reef as a tragic backstory. Unfortunately, this won't be posted for a few months, but feel free to leave comments here or in the discord server.
