Here's my opinion on the Charlie in the booth thing. I'm kinda in the middle between you and Nikki on whether it was unprofessional or not. My problem is that it doesn't seem like that was Nikki's opinion at the time it happened. If it was, I feel like she was contributing to the unprofessionalism by pressing him about it and actually looking to see it was Aylin. If she feels like that's not okay in the recording booth, she should have brought it up at that time. More likely IMO, I feel like production changed her mind about it after it happened to add to the story line of why he was bottom 3 despite the fact that the way he acted during the shoot was enough for the storyline?

2024-05-16 03:20:01 +0000 UTCi agree about the charlie and “not being so professional” thing. i understand it’s not always seen as professional but if it’s what motivates him and helps him to deliver his performance great ( which it did ) then i don’t see the issue either. if it was affecting him badly then i would get it, but it’s not

I also think it helped her to have Blake as her partner in the music video, he's easily the best actor and seems to have chemistry with everyone. I just loved Nellie back when I first watched it and I still do. Charlie is really starting to impress me, especially with the LCP. He definitely went too far in the video shoot but I also disagree that he was "distracted" in the recording studio. He was actually using his real life to boost his performance instead of acting and he sounded great. If anything, I feel like focusing on Aylin just made him better. Am I the only one who thinks Nikki sometimes comes off as unlikable? Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. Though she does have some good points sometimes. I felt so bad for Michael in his LCP but I think how he handled it saved him. Everybody makes mistakes and forgets lyrics but I think if you are able to recover and even laugh at yourself, that is more important than being "perfect". Also he's just so cute. I HATE math but I wish I had someone like him to teach me 😍😂 And I agree about Tyler 100%. Tyler now identifies as non-binary and has become an outspoken advocate for the trans and non-binary community. They gained national attention when Miley Cyrus brought them as her date to The Foundation for AIDS Research (AMFAR) gala in 2015 and has since worked with Miley's Happy Hippie Foundation, along with their friend Ariana Grande. They appeared in Ariana's music video for Positions and Faint of Heart by Tegan & Sara. They are also a writer/editor for 'them' magazine, have voiced a non-binary character on Amazon Prime Video’s Danger & Eggs and were the Grand Marshal of New York’s Pride parade in 2018. Shanna later said that she came out as a lesbian on stage in this episode but it was cut (which she was grateful for because she hadn't come out to her family yet). Cory and Naya being the guest mentor back-to-back was a lot 💔 Also, the teacher in the music video is Mary Gillis who played a teacher on Glee.
