I definitely feel like the Glee team was leaning HARD towards Cameron because he was so cool and had the hipster vibe thing going, but it's like you said - he didn't give vulnerability in any of his performances this episodes. 2024-01-29 07:06:17 +0000 UTCMy #1 for the entire episode is Alex no question. They had the best vocals, acting, and vulnerability. I agree that Matheus shouldn’t have won the assignment, but I can see why Dot felt a connection to him. They both struggle with their size being all that people see of them. So there was something personal there. My top 3 would be Alex, Marissa, and Hannah. My bottom 3 would’ve been Samual, Cameron, and I’m unsure of who the 3rd would be. Out of the whole group, I would’ve cut Samual. I got nothing from him besides him explaining his word in the beginning. Plus his vocals weren’t the best. Throughout all of the episodes so far, he’s never stood out as one of the most interesting contestants. His voice isn’t the best, his acting is just ok, and I get no character or depth from him. Of of their bottom 3, I probably would’ve cut Cameron. He had the least amount of vulnerability to me. Emily should’ve stayed. The fact that she was at the bottom because of her joking between takes is outrageous! Plus the song they gave her?! It felt a little bit like sabotage. I would’ve kept Damion because I did feel his emotions a bit in his performance, but he needs to get better.

2024-01-27 01:29:48 +0000 UTCYeah I think everyone is right on point about the idea that the glee writers felt they would need to write for her in a way that is way too similar to the way the write Santana. Like the hard exterior/sassy comments as a way of masking your inner most vulnerability is sooo exactly Santana, that it's hard to see how she would fit into the show with Naya still there. Like I feel that a lot of their choices end up being more practical instead of like based on who actually gave the best performance.
