**Please know that what is voted on will not be 100% for sure the album that I will react to next. I simply need to get the information from my Patrons what you want. Yes it makes an impact but it's not definitive. Also this album reaction will most likely come out at the end of next month... unless she releases a TV of something out of nowhere!

I think Red, her least sonically consistent album, is probably foundational for Lover so I'd pick that. Both albums are raw and sprawling in their lyrics and have a sense of liberation of not only herself but her as a person who is experiencing real love for the first time. I think Red was the first time she thought she understood true love, but according to her Lover is the first time she actually did understand that. Both are full of contradictions and so they bring a very sharp realism but they're certainly different stages in life.

2023-12-19 08:41:06 +0000 UTCI think sonically you may actually vibe a lot with Lover, and I think it is underrated. However, I do think Red TV should come first as it has a lot of context and content that I think is important for understanding Taylor as an artist.
