About the body weight/athleticism/health discussion - just want to say that itβs a common but false and dangerous assumption that all people in larger bodies are unhealthy. This is where fat shaming comes from. Body diversity is a thing and peopleβs body sizes have just as much to do with their genetics as with what they eat or how active they are or arenβt. Iβm looking forward to a time hopefully in the not too distant future when Health at Every Size becomes mainstream and we are accepting of all bodies.

I love that we got at least one episode with the new kids. I really connected with them, and I love their voices. Mason on Breaking Free is amazing. But it was hard to please the OG lovers and those who wanted some freshness. I do think they tried to bring the original energy back with this seson, but it fails because of the omnipresence of old characters. This one ep tried to wrap up weirdly everything around the new kids, thus not giving us time to learn to love them like we did with the OG cast

I think both new casts are very talented ! I just think that they were never given as much focus or development as the OG. Still I was/ am attached to them to some degree . Some more than others. π

Yeah thatβs what Iβm thinking. Itβll be nice to look at everything and not have to worry about missing something from the storyline.

rewatches are good bc you get to pay attention to more things. on the first watch you miss things, you forget things... on the second watch you understand more the characters bc you know where they're going. and you get excited to get to some storyines and dread some others lol. here are some things that changed for me.
- for example, you notice some background moments, or some things that the characters do lots of time : expressions, dance moves,... or you finally know the songs and you get to enjoy them more.
- i think, for me, the rewatches made me appreciate different characters. i used to love Santana bc i thought she was so funny and i didn't really like Rachel bc i thought she was annoying. when i first watched the show i was watching one episode a week, so i was forgetting some things. then i binge rewatched and i started to think that Santana was pretty mean and didn't grow a lot, and i started to appreciate Rachel more and more bc of all the things she went through. seeing it all piled up bc i was binging the show made me understand that the characters really did put her through A LOT.
- another example, is that when i was younger i loved Quinn and Brittany bc overall the aesthetic of the mean funny blonde cheerleader and now i'm not that in love with them.
- or with this show, sadly we have people that have passed away. so you get to enjoying more the moments that you have with them. I was never in love with Finn, but rewatching s1 Finn and how innocent and pure he was, makes me love him more. or with Santana, i'm not the biggest fan of her character, but since Naya passed away everytime i rewatch i just have more love coming for Santana. and i know it's definitely not bc of the character bc a lot of the things she does are really triggering to me. but the fact Naya is not here anymore, kind of tricks me into liking a character that hurts me so much haha
- or relationships : i never really was interested in Finn and Rachel. sure they were cute, but i didn't really care if they'd end up together. now that you know that they can't, and how they were in real life together, i kinda cherish every moment they had on the show. or every moment Cory and Naya got to act together..
i think overall, when you watched the entire show, you know that s4 to s6 are not THAT good. so you enjoy the s1-3 run even more. you enjoy every little moment of Finn, you're touched to see every Finchel moments bc you know what happened in real life, you learn to appreciate more those moments Naya gave us.... and overall you get way more attached to the original cast bc you know the ones that are coming are worse lol
