Gosh! What a beautiful movie. Baz Baz Luhrmann vision is quite "Spectacular Spectacular!" It was hard trying to walk and ugly sob at the same time! The broadway musical adaptation is just as amazing as the movie. Audrey you should take some time to to react performance from the broadway cast and the west end cast too!

They keep some of the songs, but others they remake with more modern mash-up of songs. The actress who played the character of "The Green Fairy" was Kylie Minogue. The song "Lady Marmalade" was recorded by Patti LaBelle in 1975, and later there was a version done by Christina Aguilera, Mya, P!NK, and Lil' Kim. Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise ('Top Gun' guy) were together from 1989 - 2001, so they were either together or just got a divorce. The actor who played the Duke, his name is Richard Roxburgh, and the actor who played King George in 'Hamilton' was Jonathan Groff. "Consumption" is what is referred to as Tuberculosis (TB) nowadays. Ewan McGregor (Christian) was the character Lumiere in the 2017 live-action 'Beauty and the Beast'. Jim Broadbent played the character Harold Zidler (the guy who was in charge of the place).

And Moulin Rouge won 2 Oscars (Best Art direction and costume design) and was nomination for 6 others including Nicole Kidman for Best Actress in a leading role. I definitely think that Baz Luhrmann’s style is an acquired taste, you either love it or hate it. I personally love his chaotic style and I am still holding out for him to direct and write a file adaptation of “Night Circus”.

I love Nicole Kidman and got the amazing opportunity to meet her in 2014 when she did a special children’s story time for Paddington at the Barnes and Noble that I was working at at the time in Brentwood, TN not very far from Keith Urban and her TN ranch. She is even more lovely in person. She was so sweet and gentle with the kids and very generous with her time.

Especially the moment he cries out when hes holding her...i feeeel that pain really hard in my little heart 😢 😆. The actor playing the duke is not Jonathan groff. I can see why you would have thought that he does sound like king George 😄 the actors name is Richard Roxburgh, in case tou wanted to know.
