But mostly because the actress is so good you could tell from the very beginning that her character was more complex and not just evil. And the character development was so awesome. Also, I found the whole Charming fam super frustrating in seasons 1 and 2 (esp season 2) — with how they kept saying Henry was “not her son” despite Regina being the one who raised him for like his whole life 🙄

2023-10-05 14:21:02 +0000 UTCI love the exchange between Mary Margaret and Emma at the beginning because It's one of the very few times in the show when someone else makes Emma take some accountability for her actions rather than coddling her or letting her run away. There's very few times where someone speaks to her that way, and the few times it is done, it's our amazing Queen, Regina. Her parents usually lets her walk all over them and speak to them any kind of way or give them the silent treatment like a teenager.

Too many shows either rush it, or fumble the bag with characters like Regina but OUaT always had a special touch for writing villain characters and Regina is THE prime example of how wonderful they are at that.

I remember when I first watched the show and it's such a dear memory to me (no matter how it turned out) and seeing you experience that too is really bringing those old feelings back. Even if I was a die hard Regina fan from the beginning lol and you clearly aren't, even that is amazing to watch. Anyway, can't wait for you to watch the finale next week, and hopefully continue on with season 2 (pretty pleasee).

She has a beautiful character development, especially her relationship with Emma, but it takes quite some time. I'm happy you're so passionate about this show! More people should take an interest in it.

Pinnochio had memories to remember but Emma has been in the real world since right after she was born
